La Casita Chilanga — Restaurant in San Jose

First and last time visiting this place. Saturday 06-4-22 I was here for some Tortas Cubanas it is a very small place inside a bakery and liquor store this place does NOT have to eat inside or outside I let myself be carried away by the "good reviews" of this place and it is not worth it . first of all they don't use GLOVES neither for the meat nor for the vegetables in the grill you can see a girl with blonde hair she is extremely rude with her co-worker you could see that she didn't want to have communication with her at all since they were just the two of them that day. The girl, however, the two of them do not wear gloves at all they do not wash their hands constantly the one who was in the kitchen touched raw meat, ham, sausage, and then put her unwashed hands in the vegetables while using and touching her phone. Her co-worker constantly cleaned herself in her apron with her hands dirty, she was in the cashier taking orders, she was collecting cash and then she continued preparing food without washing her hands and constantly cleaning herself in her apron, the place has no hygiene at all. As a cook myself and foodie, this place has one of the best tortas I have EVER tasted. Ever! That is their specialty after all. Many times when I go I get 2--one for the moment and the other for later. The tortas are so good one of my housemates gave it a 10 stars out of 5 stars. Yes it is worth it. Try it.
