DESI EXPRESS (Inside SoFA Market) — Restaurant in San Jose

I don't quite remember what our group got...but it was all very good! Definitely feels like more of a contemporary/innovative take on Indian foods that I generally get to experience. The lassi is the right amount of sweetness without going over, good amount of tartness which I love. I think we got the aloo tiki sandwich; very tasty and unique blend of flavors. Same with the Chaat (the one where the bottom has some crispy wafers); a bit of tartness and sweetness creating a very nice blend of flavors. The only photo I remembered to take is the dessert; the Ross tres leches truffle/cake. It hovers on the edge of just a bit too much sweetness if I ate a lot more of it but because it's a smaller portion, perfect! Would love to come back and try all the other awesome sounding sandwiches, chaats, beverages, and desserts!

Complete disappointment , i don’t usually write reviews but this time cant help, that’s how bad the food is at this place. Be aware before ordering Pav bhaji, bhaji was like tasteless tomato puree, I can make 1000 times better pav bhaji than this place, open challenge. and paneer tikka masala sandwich we ordered was very small, not worth the money. The plastic spoon they gave had literally too much dust and dirt marks on it. If a kid takes it and put it in mouth, i guarantee your kid will get sick. Whoever is the owner has zero mindset for cleanliness. I urge you DO NOT GO to this place, there are many alternatives in less busier areas with more parking spaces. Their desserts are a must try. Rasamalai tres leche, motichoor cheesecake are amazing and satisfied my sweet tooth. Their chicken tikka rice bowl was very creamy and perfect texture. No too thick not watery at all. I have been missing this authentic Indian taste here in bay are from so long and now I don’t have to worry about that. They have so many items that will bring you childhood back. Also tried their blueberry and strawberry virgin mojitos and they are such a refreshing amazing drinks made with fresh fruit just perfect for this hot weather these days. Overall I would...
