I’m originally from a small town 20 min south of Gilroy, Ca and I had my go to Bakery, El Nopal In Watsonville, Ca. Well, after moving to Saratoga I was on a mission to find a good Mexican bakery. I stopped by this bakery before heading back home to visit my family and let me tell you, the tamales are amazing. I got Puerco and the flavor is just, WOW! They are not dry, or undercooked, because I’ve had tamales where the masa is a bit gooey, and the size of them are perfect. I also go a Licuado, chocolate banana. I could make it at home and I do but when someone else makes it for you, it’s 10xs better. I also purchased a concha, and it was delicious, not dry and the flavor was 👌🏽

I got Tres Leches and pork tamales. The cake was delicious, would get again, but the tamales were awful. Very little filling, tasted fishy, almost too spicy to eat, and bland. Very bland, no flavor in the PORK tamales other than fish, I feel like they used the spice to cover up the blandness.

Mexican Bakery with fresh bread like Bolillo or pastry like Budin or Yoyo. The also have cake ready to go or to order. Good to have a bakery in your hood.

This bakery was great best cakes I had since I moved from New York City. The owners and son where very nice and even though the decorating skills were not the best they made the cakes with love and you can taste nothing but perfectly good cook cake along with fresh ingredients. This was about four years ago,It is unfortunate that things like this happen to good locations Iike this due to owners not being strict on who they hired and regretfully not checking the product they’re selling now. Even though I have bad experiences for the past year the cake still taste pretty good service was very bad The ladies that work there aurora rude and have no care for your pastries you’re purchasing especially when it comes to cakes you always see finger smudges on the icing or they end up correcting their mistakes by adding additional sugar you did not ask for on your order they do not apologize or say anything they just say that was the way it was ordered. The drop in point for this bakery has hit today my wife picked up a cake and all those good years of good memories with good taste in pastries went away as I tasted rotten strawberries inside my cake that all my family was eating. I always brag about this place having the best today’s leches cake and today it was the most embarrassing moment when everybody was spitting out the cake. Do not blame the owners it was a good location unfortunately employees don’t take care of in establishment that’s not theirs they’re there to make their money and that’s it. Owners need to take control of this place before it goes downhill completely. Also be careful because now they’re charging additional five dollars if you pay with a credit card apparently you have to pay cash otherwise they charge you an additional five dollars of tax. That does not sound illegal at all. Recommend to stay away...

Please do NOT get your cake here. We went to get a tres lèches cake for a relative’s birthday. We properly stored it at home in the refrigerator and it was nicely decorated it. Once we cut the cake and started serving it the inside of the cake looked old, dry, and filling tasted like it had gone bad. We put all pieces back in the box and we returned the cake and we got our refund eventually after they tried to deny and said that cake “didn’t taste bad”. We never had an issue with a très lèches cake before from other panderias. Unfortunately, not long after 3 people had gotten sick...
