As will be clear from all of my previous reviews, I usually only bother to write them, if I have had a positive experience. However on this occasion, I feel the need to highlight how poor the customer service we received was. We have recently moved to the area and decided to visit this pub because they had an offer on, which was $5 fish tacos, stating that in this location, the Brit, they were sold in sets of 3. When we went to pay, we queried the deal as the total price was not what we had expected. Our understanding was that, as per picture, it does not state anywhere that there is a minimum purchase of 3, but that in these 2 locations, the tacos are served in sets of 3. This is when we were introduced to the ā€˜manager’ Ken, who was quite frankly, rude, confrontational and the worst person we have met who works in hospitality for a long time. We queried the bill and were met with an aggressive and threatening response, for simply asking a question. Ken then decided to make the situation quite hostile (unnecessarily, we were not saying we wouldn’t pay, we were simply explaining the offer was not clear) telling us we had to settle the bill and that he did not care about the offer. He kept offering the owners card and told us to bring it up with him as it wasn’t his problem but that we would not be leaving without paying out our bill (which once again, we had never suggested, we were just starting that the offer was not clear!) Would never go back and would not recommend, not worth the agg!!!

Great place good drinks good food. Dont asked for limes they where at least a week old other then that. Plenty of TVs on the inside plenty of TVs on the outside we went there to watch a warriors game ask to pay $10 cover charge because of a boxing game I thought it was funny because on the inside of the bar there is literally seven people at the bar he said we can sit on the patio that was free for the warriors game so we said yes and we went back there I found out that's where all the people were I get it it's slow and everything but don't charge a cover charge with seven people at the bar it's not worth it anyways great time heat lamps in the back good people very clean area easy to find definitely recommend checking out the Brit if you like the Brit definitely check out the original brick on Almaden really good bartenders there on speakers that are really suck music is very quiet but overall the people and the bartenders are very friendly definitely recommend checking out both locations

Wait what? I’ve been here a bunch of times and haven’t reviewed them? Shame on me! The best thing about The Brit is it’s a sports bar. Done! Sharks, Warriors, 49ers…! Inside gets packed and is probably the most love part, but the outdoor under cover seating in the back also rocks. Again, big tvs and decent sound. Built in heaters up above are strong enough to keep you warm. Nachos, quesadillas, and burgers are all good. Fries and tots too. I like Guinness and they have it so I’m happy. But I think they have the full bar as well. Parking is close by. Service is a little shady; not sure if it’s because they don’t have enough staff or what but it works; just flag ā€˜em down. Line coming for games after work. It can be monstrously busy and tough to find parking when there’s a Sharks game at the Tank.

I stopped at the Brit last night as well as a few months ago while in town for work and had unimpressive experiences both times. They're supposedly open till 10, but the bartender shut off TVs and security was putting chairs on the bar by 8:30 within minutes of me arriving. It was dead in there. I was one of maybe 6 patrons. The security guy at least was considerate enough to ask if I minded him putting up chairs next to me, to which I shrugged and said "Fine by me. Guess you guys are closing early. I'll finish my beer and be on my way." He said that they always close early, and assured me I could stay and shouldn't feel rushed, but how the am I supposed to feel when you shut off the TVs and start hanging chairs? I felt like my presence was unwelcome and all they wanted to do was go home. I can't give an opinion on the food because I obviously didnt have a chance to try it. Didnt even get offered a menu.

Based on my repeated experiences separated by several months, the other recent reviews I have just read, and the owners responses which are chocked full of excuses and justifications about how it was a long day that day, and it takes a long time to close up, I will not be returning to this establishment. I am sure the owner will respond with something about it being slow and how expensive payroll is, but to that I would suggest you focus on creating an environment that makes guests feel welcome to keep people in your bar (also known as revenue) versus closing early and trying to keep your costs...

This review is for the day of the Euro 2020 final only. Two bartenders only for a crowd of hundreds was a travesty. The female bartender that day was rude and obnoxious due to being overwhelmed. A guy next to me tried to order a beer for at least 20 minutes and finally she came over and took out her frustrations by yelling at him ā€œcan’t you see how many people are ahead of you?ā€. Due to that, I did not try to get her attention but several times she washed glasses right in front of me and never asked if I’d like another beer. So, I remained silent. After waiting 45-55 minutes, a lady came and stood next to me to order drinks and this same bartender started to serve her but the lady kindly stated that I was ahead of her. The bartender gave me a disgusted look upon serving me. Brit management let us down that day, sorry.

Updated: I appreciate the response from Brit management and I think the explanation is perfectly valid and understandable. My friend and I had both gone to the Almaden Brit and found it closed, thus we went to the downtown Brit. We did speak to several people who had done the same. Additionally, this is not the first establishment that has had trouble rehiring people after COVID. That said, I’ve been to this Brit before and enjoyed the food, drinks and service. I will return if I’m in the area. Upgraded to four stars due to the explanation and...
