Tony and Jeffery were outstanding attentive, friendly, and perfectly on top of the pacing between courses. They enhanced our evening with thoughtful recommendations and genuine warmth. I especially hit it off with Tony—we had such a great conversation about leather bags, unique places to shop for rare antiques, and even perfume recommendations! He was such a doll—super helpful, personable, and made me feel so welcome. That kind of interaction really sets the tone for a memorable night. We began with Tuna Tartare and Burrata. The tartare featured creamy avocado, ponzu-lemon dressing, and plantain gremolata, a vibrant mix that brought out the tuna’s clean flavor. The Smoked Tomato & Burrata was equally memorable, with luscious Italian burrata, heirloom tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and garlic-infused olive oil—deliciously fresh and elegantly plated. We also tried the Pulpo Casi Gallego (crispy octopus on black sweet potato purée with tomato mojo). Each bite highlighted the octopus’s tenderness. For mains, we had the Caribbean Halibut—an 8 oz filet in a delicate lemongrass beurre blanc with shiitake mushrooms. It was flaky, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. We also tried chose Salmón En Vacaciones, a pan-seared salmon with a fiery roasted tomato‐Sambuca sauce and spinach. The sauce had a pleasant kick and the salmon was cooked to moist perfection. From the creative appetizers to the refined seafood entrées, every element was thoughtfully executed. Tony and Jeffery’s service truly made the evening special. Came here for brunch on a Sunday and we were excited because of all of the great reviews! We arrived and it was not busy so we got sat right away.

We waited a bit for our waitress and then she took our drink orders and two out of five of our food orders… She then didn’t come back for 20 minutes. She came back with half our drinks and forgot the other half completely. We also had no water at this point after asking for that as well. My friend got a mimosa thing so the waitress pops the cork of the Prosecco and leaves the cork on the ground… like she did not care at all lol. She then walked away before we could ask about ordering the rest of our food.

She comes back 15 minutes later we are like hi can we order food? She’s like oh sure I’m sorry (she clearly thought she already got our orders). And then 30 minutes after that 2 of 5 of us got our food and the rest of us just sat waiting for 45 minutes for our food. Still no water and missing half of our drinks. We finally got water while waiting for our food by going up to the bartender and asking for help.

The bartender almost did more for us than our server… I’m just not sure what went wrong? It wasn’t busy at all and I wasn’t expecting this after seeing the reviews. It felt like our waitress was mad at us for being there. The food was also mid. We really tried to be understanding especially since most of us have worked in the service industry before and know how tough it can be. Overall this was a disappointing...

I decided to visit Gastrobar middle of the week so that I could really give everyone an honest review of this wonderful establishment for what it is during a time that typically is not considered peak within the hospitality industry. I knew about this hidden gem thru friends and was really excited to see what the "buzz" was all about. I gotta say, sincerely, very unpretentious, relaxed, chill vibe! The executive chef Roberto treated me like the most important VIP in the world! The food was very clean and very scrumptious @ the same time. Roberto took his time to visit my table and begin to describe with great humility and authenticity what I was being plated for my enjoyment!! I was give an amazing tuna tartare beyond my ability to describe (besides wonderful and very flavorful) and followed up with an amazing octopus appetizer with a plating that I thought was the design of the plate! Actually it was the different sauces that were used in the dish..unbelievable..food art!! The cocktail were on point and the ambiance was perfect. All in all I was extremely satisfied with the experience that was provided to me.
