El Quinqué De Douglas’ Pub — Restaurant in San Juan

Awful experience. We went in under the impression food was being served. We asked if the kitchen was still open got told yes and was handed menus. Every single time we tried to order something the waiter would come back and say they don’t have it. We changed our orders like 3 times. It wasn’t even packed and the waiter took 20-30 minutes to even brings waters. When we finally ordered something that was “available” we waited 50 minutes for quesadillas each meal came out 10-15 minutes APART. My quesadilla was slapped together on top of each other like something off of a cheap food truck. Didn’t give me sour cream but gave everyone else sour cream even though I asked for it 3 times. I asked for salsa and was given marinara sauce. We were so close to just walking out without getting the food it was just awful, over priced, and terrible...

Our 2nd time here, Sun June 29th, and they didn't disappoint. It was an early dinner, and our waitress was also the bartender, again, early dinner. I didn't get her name but she had long brownish black hair, a young girl very nice and pleasant.

Our first time was a very late night dinner, and the bar side was very busy, and the restaurant side was slightly busy, but their food just seems to be very on point.

This Sunday, we, 4 adults, ordered wings for an appetizer, which were very good, and 2 entrees of white rice with red beans with chunks of fried pork with fried plantains. All very good. Yes, it was enough for 4 as we're not big heavy eaters. We also had 2 beers and 4 mocktails, and our bill, including the tip, was $82.

My husband and I visited this bar with a group of friends a few weeks ago. The service downstairs was mediocre. Bartenders take their time to assit you or even take your order in the correct manner.

The upstairs bar on the other hand, was wonderful, air conditioned and the young lady bartender was amazing. She gave us great food options, was very attentive and patient. Regardless the kitchen was downstairs, she brought all the food up so we can dine in comfortable. She gave us a better service her alone having more people upstairs then there was downstairs at that moment.
