Escambrón Beach Club is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Situated on the beautiful shores of the Caribbean Sea, this beach club offers a range of amenities and activities for visitors to enjoy. However, despite its popularity, some may argue that Escambrón Beach Club is just an okay beach, especially considering the $5 entrance fee. One of the main reasons why some may consider Escambrón Beach Club to be just an okay beach is the fact that there is an entrance fee of $5. While this may not seem like a significant amount, especially for tourists who are used to paying for beach access in other destinations, it can be a deterrent for some visitors. Many people believe that beaches should be free and open to the public, and having to pay for access can take away from the overall experience. Additionally, some may argue that the amenities and activities offered at Escambrón Beach Club are not worth the entrance fee. While the beach club does have facilities such as restrooms, showers, and picnic areas, as well as rental equipment for water sports, some visitors may feel that these amenities are not enough to justify the cost. In comparison to other beaches in the area that offer similar amenities for free, Escambrón Beach Club may not stand out as a top choice for beachgoers. Furthermore, the beach itself may not be as impressive as other beaches in Puerto Rico. While the water is clear and the sand is soft, some visitors may find that the beach is crowded and lacks the natural beauty that they were expecting. The presence of the beach club and the surrounding buildings can also take away from the natural charm of the area, making it feel more like a commercialized beach experience rather than a peaceful retreat. Despite these criticisms, Escambrón Beach Club does have its merits. The beach club is well-maintained and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is also convenient, with easy access to parking and nearby restaurants and shops. For those who are looking for a beach experience with amenities and activities, Escambrón Beach Club may still be a good choice, even with the $5 entrance fee. In conclusion, Escambrón Beach Club may be considered just an okay beach by some due to the entrance fee and the overall beach experience. While the amenities and location are convenient, the beach itself may not be as impressive as other beaches in the area. Ultimately, whether or not Escambrón Beach Club is worth the

Beautiful beach with a breaker to prevent big waves from hitting the shore. Water is very clear. Sand is not white but a nice fine brown sand. Quiet for relaxing. Lifeguards are available until 5 pm, i believe. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent for cheap - $15 for umbrella and $10 for chair. The water is very warm that even when it's raining it's still nice to swim. Fish swimming by your feet - so don't forget to bring your own goggles or snorkeling gears. Downside, (1) no close by restaurants, we used uber eats to have food delivered to the beach, but there is a vendor that sells cold soda and water and I believe it saw a vending machine close by as well (2) restroom is not well maintained, no water and soap to clean hands, but there is spray water for feet and body after a swim.

¡Claro! Great beach for the locals. We walked there from the Celebrity cruise ship, about 45 minutes if you go past El Morro and San Cristobal forts. Nice view of the ocean and residential area felt safe.

Bring towels and your food and drink.

Bathrooms available but no chairs or umbrellas or food or drinks. Vendor selling shaved ice and coconut gelato for $6 for a large size. Roasted corn on some days. Along the road getting closer to the beach is a KFC, hamburger place and gas station. Your food might be a little cold by the time you finish walking. There is a parking lot.

Water and sand were nice with no seaweed. A few fish but a bit cloudy and did not see many snorkeling.

Beware of falling coconuts when you lay under a palm tree. A 12 pounder fell from about 20 feet luckily the tree was leaning away from me but I was still sitting...
