I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My husband and I were in PR for two weeks and we visited Kamoli Kafe Butik four total times because it's, hands down, the best food we've had on the island. Not only is my husband a chef, but we come from a family of chefs, so we KNOW food and this spot has it all. We have had other good meals in Condado, Piñones, Aguadilla, Rincon, and Ponce but this is still THE BEST.
The eclectic, yet well curated decor is what originally drew us in. We were walking and exploring Santurce and happened to see the beachy vibes in front and, so, we stopped in to look at the menu and were immediately intrigued by the fresh-sounding menu.
Everything on the menu is made to-order using healthy, high quality, fresh, and flavorful ingredients. I'm obsessed with the Artisan Smoked Salmon sandwich that includes lox, goat cheese, and avocado on a PHENOMENAL seeded bread that is lightly grilled. It's fire. I ordered it all four times that we were here lol (splitting with my husband so we could try other things, too).
I highly recommend the chicken pesto wrap but you must add bacon, sweet plantain, and avocado to it. Our server recommended it to us this way -- it's her favorite thing on the menu -- and it was amazing. The bacon hit so well with the plantain.
We also tried the Salmon Burger which was a salmon fillet, slaw, and other goodness on a delicious bun. It was cooked perfectly and so light and refreshing.
We opted for the baked potatoes on the side every single time and 🤤🤤. They are crisped and seasoned perfectly and the bits of added mushroom and tomatoes cannot be beat.
I also tried a whole number of smoothies and juices, I really don't remember all the names but they were all fantastic. I know I tried one that had blueberries and collagen in it as well as one with carrots, coconut, celery, and cucumber and they were all rejuvenating and refreshing! You can't go wrong with any of them, really.
Lastly, Cristina. Oh my gosh, Cristina is amazing and really made every single experience something else. Not only does she provide phenomenal customer service (asking if we need anything, checking on us, offering food recommendations but also recs for activities to do around the island) but she's a lovely person and feels like a friend for life.
I'm so thankful that my husband and I randomly stumbled on this Kafe. We will absolutely be back on our yearly visits...
Read moreDo NOT come to this place. You will regret it. They got my order wrong multiple times, overcharged my credit card, and the simple order took an excruciatingly long time to be filled.
I ordered one juice, one bowl of yogurt, and one iced tea. The total on the screen came out to be in the $20’s. It was only after I left the cafe that I realized my card was charge close to $40.
The cafe was fully staffed with three personnel and it was not busy but it took over 20 minutes to get my order. I had to ask for everything to-go after about 10 minutes.
I did not watch the person as they were blending my juice but when they finished, I saw another staff member show them that they didn’t follow the order correctly.
The yogurt was a tiny portion and did not come with utensils. When I asked for to-go utensil, they gave me a dirty plastic spoon from under the counter.
For the ICED tea, the staff brewed HOT tea and then put it in a paper cup. Then I watched another staff pour it into a mug because they forgot that I asked for to-go. I had to ask them for a paper cup again but they failed to give me a lid.
I tried multiple times to call the cafe so I could dispute the charge but to no avail. This establishment does not deserve any of the positive reviews they get. They...
Read moreI stopped by cafe Kamoli Cafe mid afternoon on a weekday, ordered a juice and a pastry at the counter, left a 20% tip, and took up one of the smaller tables. The place was empty and I was the only patron. I asked one of the girls behind the counter for the wifi password, to which she responds "we do not give out the wifi password." I found this so rude. If Kamoli wants to prevent patrons from overstaying their welcome and lingering on their laptops/phones, refusing to allow access to WIFI at a coffee shop is not a smart service-roriented approach. Patrons using wifi at coffee shops is almost a standard, a given, in 2021. It goes without saying, that all the while I was there, I felt unwelcome. I was going to add a latte and a croissant to my order, but figured I'd down my juice/pastry, check emails as fast as possible and get out. Although their juice and chocolate cake were fantastic (and I live across the street from Kamoli) I am never setting foot...
