If you are pregnant, this isn't the place for you. I booked a prenatal massage, acne facial and the kailani experience for my birthday. I was 26 weeks pregnant. My entire experience was altered at the last minute and I was made to feel like I didn't belong there because I was pregnant. The worst feeling when you're bringing life into this world.
I was given a confirmation call the day before my services and nothing was mentioned to me about the need to change any of my services because I was pregnant. On the day of arrival, I am met by the receptionist who looks worried and immediately tells me, I won't be able to have my PRENATAL massage because of safety. I was speechless. She then goes back to "confirm" after I notified them I was 26 weeks. What spa offers prenatal massage and then takes it back? She returns to tell me that she was mistaken and it's indeed safe because I'm not 38 weeks yet. Stop treating pregnant women like we are made of glass. We BIRTH BABIES. We are strong. A peaceful massage is not going to induce labor. That is ridiculous and it does not happen. Not even if given at 38 weeks. You cannot damage a woman or fetus with a massage. You cannot induce labor by giving a massage. Baby's come when they are meant to. Use logic. Does a restaurant not allow pregnant women to eat spicy food in their 3rd trimester because they could induce labor? NO. They are allowed to make their own adult decisions. Additionally, the prenatal massage was not a prenatal because there was no prenatal belly pillow (with the hole in it so I can lay on my stomach) provided. That should be the bottom line to offering these kinds of massages. Otherwise, I can visit any spa and receive any type of massage. I am not interested in laying on my side for a massage.
When I came out of my massage, I am now informed that I cannot have the kailani experience. It's literally a warm tub, a steam room and a shower. Are you kidding me? Why do you think a human fetus is enclosed in a sack filled with fluid and then in the uterus also filled with fluid? It is for TEMPERATURE REGULATION. The mother would have to have a fever to affect the fetus in any way. The female body is genius in design. Again, another case of being treated like I am weak and pregnancy is a disease. Pregnant women do not need other people to tell us what is safe for our babies. We know what is safe. Let US make the decision of what "risks" we want to take. Denying me the pleasurable experience of a hot bath, shower & steam is ridiculous.
And of course, the cherry on top was switching my acne facial to the basic facial. At the last minute of course.
The ONLY service amongst these that can be unsafe for pregnant women is the acne facial because of harsh chemicals. I booked it because I have acne and have had these facials while pregnant before. I usually have a conversation with the esthetician right before we begin and we simply refrain from using one or two products but the rest of the facial is fine.
All of this to say, my experience at Cloud Spa was disappointing. I wish all of these redirections were disclosed to be upon booking the services or during the confirmation call. That way I could have canceled and found a spa that uses logic, negates fear based nonsense and treats pregnant women like we deserve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friend and I were looking for a place to get a massage. Hello, Google. I naturally gravite to each Google review section for the Spaās I selected. I found some mix reviews for Cloud Spa but decided to give it a try since we planned it with less than 24 hours notice. The online process is quite simple 1) enter your info 2) enter your preferences 3) find a time and date.
The location can be confusing since itās located within what appears to be a mall or shopping center. Upon entering, youāre greeted by a host and walked into a soothing waiting room. We filled out waiver and a āgetting to know your massage preferences betterā form. We both were separated and escorted to each room (itās a large pod that has low colored lights. Mine was a soft neon red). We both booked the 80 minute relaxation massage- we really needed a vacation.
My friend and I had two different experiences. Felix, massage therapist was great. He made me feel comfortable and focused on releasing any knots. My friend, did not have a great experience with her masseuses (female but Iāll keep her name anonymous). My friend mentioned after informing the masseuse about the pressure being too strong 3x, each time different, the masseuse finally listened. Thatās just one out of the few. We
Once we met up at the waiting area, my friend began to vent about her experience with me. During her venting, a gentleman approached us to ask us about our experience. I quickly shared my great experience and my friend shared her disappointment. The gentleman inquired and mentioned he would see what he could do to improve her experience. He came back and offered us both a day at the spa (glass sauna, floating therapy, and a few different water fall showers), 15% off, and a bottle of champagne. It turns out this man was founder, Mitchel Rivera (according to his business card). We were both taken back and pleasantly surprised by the amazing customer service. We accepted.
CloudSpa team thank you for turning a bad experience into a wonderful, unforgettable experience. Thanks again Mitchel, Felix, Maria and the receptionist with awesome nails (sorry we didnāt catch your name). We will for sure be returning...

What a fraud! Definitely NOT what it pans out to be. Totally false reviews and they lie to you like no other! The only thing that was nice was the Ambiance and the Cleanliness. Other than that everything was bad.
To start I got the heaven on earth package. Which they told me it was a MASSAGE over the phone when I called. When I got there it was NOT a massage. It was just the man rubbing lotion and oil on my body he applied no pressure. I felt like a kid was taking care of me! It was really something I could've DONE myself. Smh. Then they didn't even give me my FULL hour and 20 minutes. Next was the deep cleaning facial which was NOT DEEP CLEANING! All the lady did was rub my face with lotion and oil and was mostly focusing on my feet which had NOTHING to do with the facial. No steam on my face NOTHING! I wish I could've recorded the process.
After we was done, I asked to speak with a manager. He only offered me 25% off my facial AFTER I told him that I was not pleased with ANY of the services. He was very rude and nonchalant about the whole situation. Didn't seem to care and wasn't concerned at all. Rushing me to get out. I asked him could I get something free like a product and he said there was NOTHING else he could do for me and walked away. I ended up with only $32 back in my pocket after I spent $345 dollars on a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone visiting SAN JUAN, PR. They are a fraudulent company and lie about what services they offer online. Do not go! You are better off going to a quick mom & pop store that offers less prices and gives above and beyond services.
I really feel as though I got Gipped out of my money. That was the main thing that I came out on vacation to visit for and they made my last day on the island depressing. I wish I could've spoken to someone higher than the manager that was on shift that day. I am really upset Still!
Cloud Spa was the worst.THEY ONLY CATER AND TAKE CARE OF THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WHO SPEAK SPANISH OR...
