Not even sure where to start. The stay at Casa Isabel was AMAZING! Our host was so nice and knowledgeable, and communication even before the trip was great. I asked if she could set up a little surprise for my bf for when we walked into the room since it was his birthday trip, and they had set up a "Happy Birthday" banner, with balloons, and fake rose petals on the bed that said "Love". It was so cute and thoughtful.

The room itself had everything we needed. The bathroom was pretty modern, the shower was great with nice water pressure and it was never short of hot water for us. Our room was a bit darker than the rest, but we were barely in there so it's okay. The bed was very comfortable AND the room had a fan and strong AC which was a blessing to come home to.

The rest of the BnB gets even better and better as you keep exploring. Everything was so pretty and had so much culture. The eating area was great, and the breakfast every morning was just what you needed to have a good start to your day. She also had a lovely terrace you can walk up to which offered a great view of the neighborhood. There were so many places in the BnB where you could just sit and enjoy being in Puerto Rico so you never felt like you were just stuck in your room if you were there.

She also had so much beach gear that was up for grabs, plenty of beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, sunscreen, etc. And to top it off, the beach was only a 3 minute walk from the front door. 3 minutes to the other side of the BnB was Calle Loiza, packed with so many bars and restaurants. We were also steps away from a 24/7 Convenient Store and minutes away from really cool cafes, restaurants, stores, and the going-out scene. However, it was never chaotic or loud on our street.

All in all, our stay at Casa Isabel was beyond perfect. We were so happy during our entire stay and did not want to leave. I am going to miss the perfectly strong coffee, the yummy breakfast potatoes and eggs, and my...

Perfect location if you're looking for a quiet beach trip near to San Juan- it's about a 2 minute walk down the street to a beautiful beach. Beach towels are provided and also beach chairs to borrow (also boogey boards and ?coolers?- we didn't use these but saw them)- so it's very convenient. There is also an outdoor hose to spray the sand off everything before tracking it back into your room. Beds are very comfortable, linens are nice. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. Our room had a remote-controlled wall A/C unit which kept the room very comfortable despite the humidity outside. The breakfast area was adorable, with open arch/ windows to enjoy the beautiful weather and listen to the birds singing in the garden outside. Access to filtered water, coffee and tea was available 24/7 there. Breakfast itself was meh- really nice cut fruit, also bean salad, but bleh pastries, bagels and bread to toast. Sausage, scrambled eggs and spiced boiled potatoes were available in a hot pot/ warmer. Also warm milk and individual boxes of corn flakes for those who want cereal. The whole property is fenced/ gated (like most dwellings throughout PR) and those who brought cars could park off-street in the driveway. The neighborhood was very nice/ upscale, all individual homes- not massive hotel properties wall-to-wall like in Condado or Isla Verde. It was a short walk to a great restaurant (Bebe's), ice cream parlor and convenience store. Uber to Old town San Juan was about $16-20 (or ~4mi walk), making that a convenient day trip. Condado is even closer by way of car or a great stroll down the Avenida that runs closest to the beach. The owner was easily available by phone to...

We stayed for 3 nights prior to our Norwegian Viva cruise. Our room was a Standard Queen Room.|-Hotel & room décor - Hacienda style with open air common areas for sitting and dining. Temps in February were not too hot so these common areas were comfortable enough with good cross-ventilation breezes. Might not be so desirable in hottest months.|Note on power: We had a power interruption on Sat morning (not an uncommon occurrence from what I understand about Puerto Rico). Casa Isabel does have a generator so lights and most importantly A/C stayed running in our room.|-Room size & features - Large airy double room has individual air conditioner, queen bed, two two-drawer nightstands with lamps having 3 USB ports and a power outlet, two chairs, cabinet with mini fridge and safe, full size armoire, and luggage rack. Private bathroom has glass wall-in shower and a hairdryer.|-Breakfast - Hot entrees (eggs, potatoes, sausages), fruits, bagels/toast, waffles, cereal, teas/coffee, fresh juices, pastries/muffins. Food was fresh and plentiful.|-Speed of free wifi - Very good|-Hotel location & proximity to shopping & dining - In the Santurce barrio near Contado. Several restaurants located within a 5 min walk. Supermax supermarket less than 1/2 mile away. B&B is in a residential area but there was still quite a bit of urban street noise. If you’re a light sleeper, I strongly recommended ear plugs.|-Price - Moderate but good value considering location and...

Margie was very helpful and communicative, the breakfast was tasty and filling, and room was excellent. Everything was clean and well maintained with access to everything you might need for the beach (towels, chairs, sunscreen, etc.). Also, comfy beds and a nice bathroom with spacious shower. However, the best thing about this place is is its location. Right by a beach (2 min walk) that isn't overcrowded and by the very cool street of Calle Loíza and all its restaurants and bars. This is the place to be!

We had such an amazing and peaceful stay at Casa Isabel. Margie was so accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and we felt safe and relaxed. There were so many dining options within walking distance and the beach was just a few minutes away. It was my fiancée birthday and Margie had some nice balloons and banner set up for us which was so nice of her to do. We really appreciated our stay and really recommend.
