I had the chicken birria quesadillas (6/10), my sister has the chicken quesadilla, and my mom and her friend had the carnitas for two (3/10) (I believe that's what it was called). I tried the chicken quesadilla (10/10) and that was really good, couldn't really go wrong with it. My quesadilla was pretty good, nothing to brag about, and it also came by itself. Lastly, I tried the carnitas for two and I have had way better, so that was disappointing but my mom said that it was pretty good so that's all that matters. Just a note to tourists: it's common for restaurants in PR not to offer free refills. We didn't know that refills weren't free so were met with disappointment when we finished our drinks and either had to buy another one or be thirsty. Our waiter also wasn't very nice (not rude either, just not friendly), fast (even though we were the only ones in the restaurant), and when we asked for the bill to be split it wasn't done. Also, while we were eating, we saw a man that worked there behind the bar pick his nose and not wash his hands, an obvious turn-off. Although not terrible, I don't think that the food was worth coming back for, there were plenty of other restaurants in the area.

Service was very very slow. One hour from seating to food, even though it was not busy. (I had put my mask on and was standing up to leave when my food came out at the 1:02 hour point). The music is very loud and erratic. Sat alone outside near the water, but the ratty, aggressive pigeons made the waterfront experience unpleasant. Had to practically shove them off my table and they often flew overhead, causing me to cover my food. No fun. Annoyed when I asked for a menu, and was directed to the QR code on the table, which led to a difficult to navigate website. The two ladies who sat at the table next to me, however, got hard copy menus. Grrrr. Also, I don't know Spanish so I was fumbling through, but that's not unusual and no issue for me. I know what "camarones" are. I suppose the shrimp tacos were okay. I was so hungry and in such a foul mood that my judgement on the food is biased by the experience. I won't be back.

Friendly staff, but not a traditional Mexican food place you'd expect with rice and bean combination plates. However they loaded the tacos up to the max, and they were tasty. We also ordered enchiladas and despite the mole being SO dark, it was quite tasty. The bean and cheese burrito was very flat, almost like a quesadilla. Beans were just ok. Drinks could've been stronger, and the menu could have been in English as an option since the QR code was unscannable. But this place has a beautiful view right on the water.

With all the great restaurants in Old San Juan, don't waste your time and money at this dump with horrendous service. Our server got nasty when we asked her the price of a certain margarita (the one with a small bottle of Corona in it). It's not my fault that their menu doesn't include drink prices, which, by the way, is a red flag. I ordered this drink anyway, and when it arrived it was not what I ordered. Instead, it was a half glass of margarita with a full bottle of Corona on the side. The waitress said they ran out of the small Corona bottles so they have me more beer and less margarita. Surprise, surprise, it tasted more like beer than margarita. The food, when it arrived, was just okay. The real problem came when we asked for the bill and requested it be divided between the two couples. This triggered our server. We could hear her swearing at us in Spanish (I guess she figured all white tourists don't speak Spanish.) She never gave us an actual bill; the amount she quoted was much higher than it should have been, but by that time we just wanted to leave. Our friends triggered her even more when they said they would pay cash and she told them what they owed, an amount also much higher than it should have been. One of them picked up the credit card reader to pass it to her. Big mistake. I assume it showed the real price, and she began screaming at them. Save yourself the trouble (and the heartburn) and go somewhere better, which would be just about anywhere else...

Worst experience in VIEJO SAN JUAN . Food was ok not so great. Never seen worst customer service anywhere else. every time we have to refer the menu and ask the waitress and she goes "sorry forgot" and she will go and get the remaining items that suppose to come with main course. She added extra item in the check and I asked her to remove it. She said sorry it was mistake and then came back with the same check charging my credit card after 10 mins. I asked her about it. she picked up the the check and didnt come back for 15 mins. I asked my family to wait outside as she was taking lot of time and waited patiently waited. Still no response. Then I got upset and asked her " how long are you going to take? I am waiting for very long time. she goes " I am busy". There was one guy ( appear to be in computer stand like a manager ) who came in and asked her what happened. she said something in spanish and he was telling me to "keep quiet" instead hearing my side. when this whole thing happened my family was waiting outside for me almost 15 mins. The food was not even good to compromise with the worst customer service. Now I have noticed they have swiped twice my credit card for the old check and the correct new check. They suppose to cancel the first transaction. I had to call my credit card company and start the dispute. There are other better and nice restaurants in the same area. PLs pick one instead of this worst place. These kind of places should go out...

If I could give a negative review, I would. The service was the worst from any wait staff I have ever received. We had to wait 2 hours for our food. We were informed there would be at least an hour wait but while we were sitting there, the manager nor our waiter came over to apologize or see how we were doing. Tables that were seated after us, received their food, ate and paid while we were still waiting. The food came out cold and one of our orders was completely wrong. We expressed to a waiter how we felt about being there for 2 hours and everyone else getting their food except us, he grabbed the general manager who spoke to the restaurant manager and that didn’t do anything to help because the manager already knew exactly what table was being ignored the entire evening. We waited so long we asked for our food to go instead and even then it still took another 45 minutes. Once we got our checks they watched over us as if we would try not to pay. My friends and I are from Florida, we are not trying to get arrested for some petty theft charges. I did not like the experience and would rate the food a 2. Will never dine here again and I’m not too sure about returning to Puerto Rico either. Wait staff wasn’t even knowledgeable of the menu, just a terrible experience overall. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere else. I wish I wouldn’t have experienced such disrespectful service while on vacation. Deeply...
