Sushi Kokku — Restaurant in San Luis Obispo

The California Roll had a strange taste. The miso soup did too, I think it was pork broth. Bulgogi bowl was just cabbage rice and beef like fast food Chinese. It feels like they are trying to use the cheapest ingredients to survive as a business instead of raising prices and quality. I have had better food at a mall food court. The table was very sticky and I asked for it to be cleaned. She only used a wet rag, no cleaning spray, which left it oily and sticky in parts. I checked and the other tables were sticky and gross too. The lady offered me "green tea ice cream." I asked if it was Mochi and she said "yes, mochi, mochi." It was actually wheat cake around the bit of ice cream. I am allergic to wheat and had to spit it out. It would have made me sick. I don't know why she felt she had to lie to me about the ice cream. I wonder if they have a general problem with honesty and if they pay a service to lie for them in these other reviews. Either that or the other reviewers don't have...

Terrible service. If you ask questions about their menu even if there is no one behind you they are rude and impatient. They do not like answering questions and try to rush you while you're there. I've been here several times because my fiance likes the food here, so this rating is based on several visits. The food is not the issue its customer service which needs improvement. They also failed to complete one of my orders and when I called for a refund (pick up order) they were again rude said I would get a refund and proceeded not to give me my money back for the missing items.

Again the food itself is not the issue as it's pretty good. Food price is okay....

I came in today to pick an order up and the first thing I saw was the ginger it's clearly old and moldy this is unacceptable there's no way this was over looked a blind person could see this !!! I obviously took this back to complain and the lady whom I showed this too told me "that it was ok... just to take the bad part off because the rest was ok... I then told her that it wasn't ok for this tho be sold and that I wanted my money back and she still insisted that as long as I took the "bad part off I could eat it" that said thes only reason she no longer insisted that there was nothing wrong with the food and gave me a refund was because someone walked in to...
