Loli's Cafe — Restaurant in San Marcos

So I want to start by saying I come to this restaurant often before I go to work because it’s right by my house and usually it’s great! But today I just had a really unpleasant experience. So I pull up like normal to get some tacos and there was only one person in front of me, but the wait seemed to be a lot longer than usual, but I didn’t sweat it. I then get to the window and it’s a woman I’ve never seen work the window before. I order my regular, and normally the ladies will ask if I want red or green, but she didn’t, and she also just seemed annoyed already but It was whatever. So when she handed me my bag I looked inside and she gave me red which was fine. The problem came when I looked at the cups of salsa. I noticed immediately that they must’ve downgraded on their salsa cup size because these new cups were TINY (I’ll post a pic for reference) and there was no way that two of these small cups would be enough for my two tacos, especially when they don’t even fill the cups up all the way. So I asked the lady nicely if I could get another thing of salsa. She rudely says “one per taco” without even looking my way. And then I said that I wouldn’t mind paying extra if that was the issue, and she legit looked up and then just ignored me and went to go help someone else. At that point I just gave up and left. I literally never leave reviews for places, but I felt like I needed to say something because honestly the situation was just off putting and frustrating. On top of that I was right because when I got the time to eat the tacos, these little cups didn’t even come close to being enough. I would also like to say I normally get great service from this place and the two normal ladies at the front are always so kind. I would like to say I think they definitely need to bring back the normal sized salsa cups (they just had them not a couple of days ago) and if not, at least make an option where we as customers can buy extra if needed. Lastly, I just want to note that I probably wouldn’t have had as much of a problem or even left a review had that lady, whoever she was, not been so damn rude and dismissive...

We recently moved to Kyle and didn't want any of the fast food places or sitdown restaurants. I remembered I had tried this place about 5 years ago and remember It being good. We went yesterday morning for breakfast around 830am, ordered 6 tacos for about $20. My wife looked at me crazy, I told her "they're worth it, and good". Drove off and I open my chorizo and egg. The chorizo was slimy along with the egg. I figured maybe is the brand of chorizo they use. My son wanted some so, I gave him one bite. I thought ok maybe the bacon and egg is better, opened that taco. The bacon felt like the rubber toy bacon you find at Walmart it was thick and though also tasted saltier than anything I've ever tasted in my life. My wife also had chorizo and egg taco couldn't get more than three bites of it and said it seemed they left the meat unrefrigerated and in a hot room. 45 minutes to an hour later. I felt my stomach queasy and my pregnant wife and toddler son are throwing up their guts! Mind you this is all we had that morning. We ended up throwing away the rest of the tacos. The lady that took our order was very nice but maybe we got a bad batch that they didn't thoroughly care to inspect the quality of or we got old tacos from the day before. I am adding my 5 post to Lolita cafe not just because the great tacos but the honest women that work there I stoped in grabed a taco then washed my car right after well I pulled my backpack out and set it by vacuum . I finished cleaning my car I picked up my floor mats and jumped in the car and took off. Well 2 hours later I realized I for got to pick up my bag so I rushed back and it was gone I was checking all over for it and thought it was never gonna pop up. So right before I was going to give up I asked 1 of the ladys named Martha I think sorry if I got it wrong but she was very honest with me and said she saw it and put it up when . she was giving it back to me she also said she didnt even look inside and said there was a can with a lid that was beside it she thought it was trash well it wasn't it was were I stashed my money it was all there not a dollar taken out .Thanks again for being honest .
