Teapioca Lounge — Restaurant in San Marcos

I come here frequently , and their drinks are usually pretty good. My 2 recent visits had me frustrated. The last time I came here , it was about 7:50pm-8pm and they told me I “ couldn’t use the restroom” while I waited for my drink. It’s just about the way the girl stepped out all fast and said it all loud and rude. Was quite frankly embarrassing. The drink was pretty good last time (I ordered the Oreo one). This time I went and there were only a couple people in there , and it took them 25 minutes to get my drink out to me. When I got it (choco strawberry) there was SO much chocolate in it the drink was literally dark brown. Usually it’s like a nudey/pink brown color. It was warm , and kind of bitter for some reason? Plus there was little seeds in it I kept having to spit out. (I didn’t remember ever having seeds in it the previous times I ordered this drink. It’s my regular) the tapioca was very small and weird looking when it’s usually pretty full and most of them are round. A lot of them looking funky and weird shaped. Overall very flipping upset. I paid 8$ for my drink , and had to wait double the usual wait time for it to come out like this? I will never be returning here. I’ll drive the distance...

This company does NOT treat their employees fairly one bit. I had visited this weekend to see a friend of mine who works there, only to have them tell me that their bosses are taking their cash tips, and forcing them to split all credit and cash tips with their bosses, who I assume make salary. Despite employees making $8 and already having to split credit and cash tips between three people a shift, they mass hired and added not only themselves, but workers from OTHER locations who currently having standing jobs at the other locations, and are collecting tips for half the work the original employees of the store are being put through. I was also appalled to have learned they fired a worker who has been with the company for YEARS in a group chat message with other employees, over giving a customer a discount for a macaroon, which took off .69 cents from the original price. Not only was it a breach of privacy, but also just plain wrong. Horrible corporate that refuses to get past their own monetary greed and actually care for...

Good gracious am I addicted to this boba tea place. Everything from slushes to flavored teas, smoothies, cream blends and Snowyn (flavored shaved ice), there's a frozen or iced treat for you here! I love that they use fresh fruit like watermelon and mango for their drinks. Even fresh avocado smoothies! They do hot teas as well and have a great selection of loose leaf. Personal favorites include: Strawberry white tea, lemon honey black tea, watermelon slushie with aloe gel, chocolate avocado smoothie, and lychee slushies. Yum. My husband is a big fan of their Thai Tea and adds coffee to it for an extra boost. They have a big selection of add-ons for your drink if you're into that, including lots of gels, pearls, puddings and traditional tapioca. Their hours are good for an evening mini-date, and there are board games there if you feel like hanging out! The staff is fast and really super nice; I highly recommend trying...
