Our very first experience at all those and it will not be our last. Let me preface is that we have been driving by here for well over 20 years and I kick myself for not stopping in sooner. My first general impression is of the restaurant having an attractive traditional decor, and a very friendly host. My second impression is that they’re not doing much business these days, as the rest of Sandy Springs was hopping with a wait for everything and we walked right in were seated immediately and a nearly empty restaurant. That’s OK I like being seated immediately. It was a perfect balmy spring evening and we elected to sit on the outside patio and you couldn’t ask for a more peaceful place to dine. Serghi, our host and server was very attentive and he brought our drinks and calamari appetizer very quickly. The calamari was a combination of rings and tentacles that were very properly breaded with a wonderful complimenting homemade marinara that was as good or better that we have had any place else. This was also accompanied by some amazing garlic yeast rolls that absolutely hit the spot. My wife ordered fettuccine Primavera with shrimp and it was hands-down the best fettuccine sauce that we have had in recent memory. I ordered sausage and peppers at the suggestion of our waiter and I was not disappointed with the size of the portion, excellent excellent sauce and the service that accompanied it. As we were alone on the patio the waiter observed my wife going outside to smoke and he offered to bring us desert, which prompted a round a freshly brewed espresso cappuccino and an amazing dessert consisting of homemade tiramisu and the best cannelloni I’ve had since New York City. I understand how people might be disappointed with an Uber delivery or and order that they got it wasn’t fresh but I’m here to tell you that the restaurant dining experience was as nice as you will find any place in Atlanta and I consider the menu items to be top-quality fresh and authentic Italian, the service to be friendly and the value to be excellent for...

I have a bone to pick with this restaurant. I ordered via UberEats after seeing the tasty looking menu. It took a while, but that's fine, the food still arrived hot, which impressed me. Then I found out that the stuffed mushrooms, which are advertised as stuffed with crab meat, are stuffed with IMITATION crab meat. Nowhere does it indicate this on the menu. That's not okay. This is a $9 appetizer with fake crab meat in it. It tastes significantly not as good as if it were real lump crab meat, and it's very unprofessional of them not to indicate on the menu that it's imitation crab meat. Most places use the K as in Krab meat so people know and if they don't want that, then they don't have to have it. Secondly, the veal parmesan is soggy instead of crispy and it was served on a bed of what was CLEARLY sauce from a can. I'm not Gordon Ramsay. I would never pretend to be. But I know what homemade, fresh marinara tastes like. This was some bargain basement marinara dumped on top of the spaghetti. I would be less offended if they didn't charge $20 for it. But they do. They charge $20 for soggy veal parmesan and canned marinara sauce. Needless to say, I am unimpressed and it irritated me enough to want to warn others that this is pretty substandard given the pricing of the items. Just know to stay away from those two menu items. I am not judging the restaurant as a whole, but I am saying both items are way below par for restaurants in Sandy Springs and in general. Hopefully, their other menu items are better than these happened to be. That's my two cents. No one asked, but I felt it my civic duty to warn others just in case they want to...

I would’ve give at least 4 stars but as I was sitting in the parking lot, the waiter Saeed (or however you spell it) came out and state he wanted more of a tip than he was given and he stated that because we were here for 4 hours that he deserved more tip, mind you we arrived shortly after opening (5PM) and only 2 other other parties showed up with that time frame and the current time I’m writing this review is 8:23PM, I have never been told to give more of a tip or as he put it, he was going to add more of a tip to my bill. This is a terrible experience, however the other gentle (not sure of him name was very helpful and nice) Saeed however did seem to have an attitude when I first arrived. This is disgusting, he’s a sick person and I totally under that waiters and waitress depend on tips but acting the way he did is highly disrespectful and the fact that he came to the parking lot and then TOLD ME he was adding more to the tip because he deserved it! Beware of him, he thinks he can treat you anyway and then literally change the amount on your bill! Now I will have to contacts my bank to the fact of him stealing what I didn’t sign for and this is how he things business...

What a special experience! Lisa and I arrived in the mid afternoon on Friday and we're greeted by the very gracious and charming Masoud. He assured us that we could stay as long as we wanted to stay and it was not too late for lunch. The food was amazing and his quick wit was priceless! It was our first time. He opened the location 34 years ago! This place is an institution and historic! The food is amazing! The chicken fettuccine was superb! Lisa's salmon was also exceptional! Thank you for a great dining experience! BTW, he stocks Alex Grappa..... Possibly my favorite. Give it a try! Go for the food and stay for Masoud's great jokes! Thanks!!!

We stopped in late night for a dinner after the rush. We were greeted as we came in by the owner. What a neat atmosphere. The service was good and the food was great. The best bread I may have ever eaten. Now we were late and maybe they cooked it just for us, but the bread came out warm and perfectly cooked - crusty outside and gloriously soft inside. We had manicotti, lasagna, alfredo primavera, and a pizza. Seriously this may be the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. Very good. I wish I lived closer and could come more often. Give it a shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I ordered the chicken française and the stuffed mushrooms off Uber eats from this restaurant and honestly it looks like they just put chicken tenders on top of pasta and the stuffed mushrooms were really not good at all. The free pieces of bread they delivered weren’t bad and the side salad is decent but the main entrée and appetizer are not good at all. This is nothing like I would order from another Italian restaurant. I was trying to give an Italian restaurant that I haven’t used in the past the benefit of the doubt but I’m not going to waste my money here anymore in the future.
