PLEASE EXCERCISE CAUTION OR YOU COULD END UP PAYING $20 EXTRA PER MEAL.

My waitress Jessica marked that my party of 3 was a party of 6 and added a fraudulent 20% service fee to my order.

Iron Age Korean Steak House has some of the best food in the Sandy Springs area and very reasonable prices as long as your server does not defraud you.

From the very first time I've paid for my own meal I have always tipped every server that I've had but today I simply could not find it in me to pay for such callous behavior. Iron Age has a policy where if your table has 6 or more people they will automatically add a 20% tip as a group fee; I find this both reasonable and understandable. However, I do not condone writing on your customers bill that they have 6 members when they do not.

Unfortunately, tonight me and two of my friends had that happen to us. My server Jessica gave me and my party of two more people 3 bills because she did not ask if we were going to split the payment or not. The total for every meal (before tip) was $37 unlike the previous times that I'd been there and it was $29. This was because of an added group fee. The Iron Age website explicitly states: "*GROUP OF 6 OR MORE PEOPLE WILL HAVE 20% GROUP SERVICE CHARGE." and it coincidentally said on my friends and my own bill that we had a party of 6. I gave her the bills and asked her if she could make it one bill instead so that I could pay, she gave us one bill that still said we still said had a party of 6 and came with the an added group fee.

If it happens once it could be a mistake but once it happened twice I became skeptical.

I went to the front and I asked why my bill said that I had a party of 6 along with questioning if that contributed to the price. They immediately corrected my bill and my server Jessica asked me with a very rude tone "were you not going to leave a tip?". I stated that I was intending on leaving a tip but also felt as if being charged for having a party size that I did not have was both unethical and disrespectful. She walked away, but not before turning around and saying "it's 20%, it's ethical". Yes, I agree that a 20% tip is ethical however I was given the opportunity to tip again which I would've taken had I not noticed this. I love the food at Iron Age so I typically tip either 25-30%.

In the instance that I paid 30% on top of the rate I was given I would've paid a grand total of $48, making my tip 60%. The food was good but if I leave a 60% tip I want it to at least be my own choice.

I have never written a yelp review before but I sincerely hope that this helps everyone who eats at this store be charged a fair price as well as make the management (who were very dismissive of the issue) realize that this is very serious and defrauding your customers is not a good way to...

They will never be as good as the original iron age before they sold their soul and got rid of everything that was good about Iron Age once upon a time. Rice paper, beansprouts, kimchi fried rice, soybean soup, bean paste, gochuchang, etc...but that was a long time ago and I have come to terms, sadly, that those places just do not exist anymore. It is all quantity over quality. With all that said...I was craving Korean bbq for mothers day and quite frankly it doesn't matter which AYCE kbbq you go to now, it is all the same. Iron Age is "cheaper" than a lot of the other spots so might as well save a little money. Stuck with all beef this time around. Brisket (can't go wrong with that), Hawaiian bulgogi (safe choice), and the soy steak. The steak was the best part and I can honestly see myself coming back and just getting that. Marinated well, tender, and cooked well on the grill. Our server was working hard and did her best to remember everything and she checked on us frequently despite how busy she was. I do NOT recommend bringing young children here no matter what time of day. We had our 2 young daughters with us, and while I am a fan of kpop and my girls have listened to it for years and seen music videos...some of those music videos showing were NOT appropriate for children. One specific mv had a women wearing fishnet and a thong and shaking her butt all over the screen and my 5 year old kept pointing it out. This was at 1:30 in the afternoon on a sunday! Why would you have something so inappropriate on the multiple large screens, in the middle of the day, on mother's day no less, when families will likely come?! They need to either A. Update the auto Playlist to not include specific videos. B. Create/purchase a new one that is appropriate for daytime hours. Or C. Warn families with young children that some of the music videos may not be appropriate for their kids. We covered her eyes, but this is a sit down family restaurant, not a club. We should be able to enjoy our meal without having to censor...

I love this place. However, the experience I had yesterday Jan 14 2023 was rough at the start. I brought some friends that had never tried this place because it’s my personal favorite. We were seated towards the left side of the restaurant closer to what would be the front. We sat and patiently waited for our designated waitress to acknowledge us… I personally watched her look at our table 3-4 times and she consciously decided that she would not approach us. How do I know this ? We had been sitting in her section for 15 minutes … We were a group of 5 most of us colored and this particular server was Caucasian. She took her time to serve her other tables and left us there. Never offered drinks, never asked us anything. Just continued to ignore us. Thankfully a young waitress by the name of Carla (Karla)? Was kind enough to let us know that though we were not in her section she would start us off. She took our drink orders and began the process of getting our sides. It was not until then that this young red haired Caucasian waitress decided that she would approach the table. She came over with the sides. Never introduced herself. Nor did she apologize for not realizing that we had been sitting there waiting for her to come by for 15 minutes. (Another clue as to how I know it was deliberate) It was unprofessional to say the least. Therefore my table and I requested that Carla be our waitress instead. Kudos to Carla for a fantastic job and for doing what she gets paid to do. She deserves a raise. As for the other young lady… why would you show up to work if you’re not interested in doing your job ? I just found it very disrespectful and disturbing. I cannot believe she blatantly ignored us and deliberately took her time tending to her Caucasian guests. It’s hard to not see color when things like this happen. Especially when Carla was also colored. What a horrible experience. I felt so embarrassed to call this my favorite place. Again thank you Carla for being a great waitress. I hope she...

First time going here. There is no reservations unless you are bringing 8 people. I know this because I called them and that’s what I was told. So call them if you’re unsure about anything. It cost $29 per person for an All you can eat for DINNER. Do not be afraid of the $25 fee for not eating all of the food. They will only charge you that if you, for example ordered 3-4 meat dishes and don’t touch it. Then that’s a lot of meat going to waste so they will charge you. My source is from asking the workers there. The seasoned steak and bulgogi were the best for me. The steak is actually very seasoned but it is not salty. The marinade steak is ok as well but cannot compare to the seasoned one. The bulgogi is my favorite and will definitely go back just for that. Also the lemon pepper chicken taste amazing as well. Our server (Daniel also likes to be called Dan) was amazing and helped us out whenever we needed it and never forgot about us. He also gave very good suggestions. Another tip is if you want to try multiple dishes you can ask for smaller servings so you don’t become full to quick. So overall I had no problems. I was seated immediately on Valentine’s Day although it was packed. The servers are quick and attentive. The longest I waited for food was maybe 4-5 minutes during a very busy day. And the food has so much flavor. My girlfriend also tried two alcoholic drinks and Long Island Iced tea was very strong and gets you drunk pretty easily. Will definitely come back soon. Also I ended up spending $100. The drinks my girlfriend got added up. It would have only been around $70

I'll admit, this was my first experience with a Korean BBQ spot and I'm in love! Was a little apprehensive as I wasn't too sure what to expect and how the process flows, but that was thoroughly explained by our server. This location is right off of Roswell Road, near the Target and Life Time Fitness. It is spacious on the inside, with a more party-like theme, as evidenced with the blue lights and slightly louder music. You're seated at a table and notice the grill on the center of the table. A waiter comes by and explains the process. Essentially, for $25 dollars, you get a choice of meats to grill. The choice is limited to 3 per round and you can order additional after completing a round. You're not limited to your first three choices and can jump between the options available. The meat is paired with a number of sides, including rice, salad, and traditional Korean fares. These sides are unlimited and come at no additional cost. The meat is brought to the table quickly and the grill is covered with a mesh to ensure cleanliness. This mesh can be replaced upon request. You place the meat on the mesh on the grill and simply watch it cook. Once fully cooked or cooked to your liking, you just remove and eat! Our waiter, and from the looks of it most waiters, are more then happy to assist with the process. Overall, a really good experience and very tasty food.
