Updating as the owner Ivy reached out to me.

Ivy was super understanding and was quick to listen and allow me to speak freely. She was not combative or angry like she could have been.

She made sure both my friend and I were taken care of and made sure to let me know that they would update their procedures and would make sure to talk with her staff about the concerns below.

I would love to give 5 stars but I feel like it’s not fair to do that. Ivy did go out of her way to reach out about our experience and definitely made it go from 2 stars to 4 but leaving my review below to keep it fair.

Definitely willing to look at coming back in the future.

Original Review: Not sure it was worth the $250

The experience overall was okay i’m not sure if it was luxury. The spa was modern and had a very nice calming feel too it.

But there were a few things i’m not sure i was real fond of.

The spa gave a towel that wraps around and a nice comfy heavy duty robe. I put it on but it closed up top but not fully around the bottom. It says on the sign that if you need a bigger size to just ask so i did and when they brought me another one it was a super cheap rope and definitely was not like the last one. So slightly felt punished for being a bigger size.

My friend and I came in together and we noticed that the same brush that was picked up and used for her hair was also picked up and used for mine. While my friend and I are okay with being used between us makes me question how many times the brush may have been used before hand.

We were taken back around the same time my friend was a few moments ahead of me and already got started by the time I went in. But at the end I was brought out first and my friend was still in the back while I was already out getting my hair blow dried even though technically during the scalp scan mine was worse and i have MUCH longer hair than my friend so if anything if should have been me taking longer.

During the head massage my water was a little on the colder side but at that moment not terrible. They did have heaters running on you but mine was constantly turning off when I could hear my friend beside me going the whole time. But as soon as the jelly mask was applied I was freezing cold. I should have said something about being cold but didn’t know what was the “norm” since this was my first time at a head spa. After my friend and I talked she let me know that hers was almost scolding hot and she was warm except when the face mask was applied.

I was asked if i wanted sun screen applied. But my friend wasn’t so she wasn’t sure if it even was.

We weren’t told at all during the process what was used on our hair or face during the process so i’m not sure what was on our skin or hair.

At the end we did get a scalp analysis similar at the beginning but we left seeing how much better our scalp was but not really any advice on how to maintain or products to use.

At the end again the same brush was used on my friend and I that had been sitting on the table & after when sitting on the couch to rest we watched the table being tidied up but the brush was left on the table and not replaced when she was finished.

The package also included a mini blow out but nothing was different than just a regular blow dry. My hair was flat when I left.

Was it worth the $250…. eh I don’t personally think so.

I recently visited Solace Head Spa for their grand opening, and it definitely won’t be my last visit. Having experienced other head spas before, what sets Solace apart is the personalized scalp analysis that lets you understand your scalp’s health—a unique touch I really appreciated.

My experience at Solace was nothing short of amazing. I found myself drifting in and out of relaxation the entire time—it was so peaceful that I was tempted to fall asleep, yet I wanted to stay awake and savor every moment. Beyond an exceptional scalp treatment, you also enjoy a light facial and an upper body massage, which made the experience even more holistic and rejuvenating.

Two standout elements make Solace Head Spa truly exceptional. First, the delightful journey through various fragrances: the luxurious hotel-like scent when you first walk in, a light floral aroma from the shampoo, a fresh clean scent during the facial mask, and finally, a calming tea fragrance during the arm massage. Second, as someone with colored hair, I was thrilled that the treatment didn’t strip or damage my hair color—something I’ve experienced at other head spas.

What an amazing and calming experience! I can’t say enough good things about Solace. Everyone was absolutely lovely and the atmosphere was soft and soothing throughout my entire appointment. Emma was my technician and this woman has got to have the most gentle touch and spirit I have ever seen!! It almost turned into a bit of an asmr experience anytime Emma spoke to me bc her whispering voice was so good. The hair treatment was unquestionably the star of the show. Between Emma’s gentle massages, the water flow, aroma therapy, warming steam treatment and that heavy blanket, I was nearly catatonic by the time my session ended. I love that they give you a few moments to just sit and adjust to coming back into the real world. The robe and slippers just add that extra dimension of comfort and I hated having to give them back lol. The owner was an absolute treasure as well and gifted me with a little treat to say thanks for giving them a try. Y’all, I’m obsessed! Already planning a girls pampering day...
