Just Rum Distillery I Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Sandy

Last Friday, Heather and I stopped here to finally give this place a try. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was and how great their Rum is. The menu is simple and satisfying for food; the perfect amount of options to not overwhelm you, because the primary experience is their Rum. It was so smooth, or as Heather put ‘num num’.

The service was exceptional and the ladies were so friendly. To top it off we were treated to a personal tour from the owner John and got to meet the primary distiller, also named John. From the outset John was welcoming and friendly and even gave us a few samples of some of his very smooth and delicious Rum.

One of the things Heather and I like to do is to put our money into the local economy, this place will be a regular stop for us, and we went back last night for dinner, hot buttered rums and we picked up a bottle of his Queens Share; oh my, it’s so good.

Today was my first visit to Just Rum and I cannot rave enough about how great my experience was! Not only was the environment beautifully designed, the atmosphere was incredibly inviting, warm and welcoming! I was eager to ask questions and learn the history and craftsmanship behind each spirit, cider and wine in house! These people really know their stuff! I had a day full of laughs, great drinks and fantastic food topped with a ton of great information! This was hands down, the BEST RUM I have EVER had! The 5 year anniversary blend will literally knock your socks off! And YES, get your bottle signed by the master minds behind this rarely unique and delicious Rum! You won't regret this treat for yourself!

Great food and drinks, good atmosphere, service left something to be desired. One of the bartenders the last time I was there like a week ago spent the entire flirting with some guy, while the other bartender had to pick up the slack. When I simply asked for water, she was very short with me, and told the other bartender to do it. She also did not want to answer any questions about the drinks or take any orders, and it seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else. Luckily the other bartender was there, because if she was the only bartender I would remove one star. If there were a way to only tip one bartender instead of them splitting the tips I would do it without hesitation, because the other bartender deserved all the tips for doing...
