We came here 2-3 months ago and loved the food and had great service. We were very impressed. Our server was fantastic we praised her numerous times during our visit.
Today, was a disappointment. (4/3/22) Our server, a young gal with braces seemed attentive enough at the beginning. However, after we got our food, we didn’t see her again. We needed numerous things and couldn’t flag her down. The other server was extremely busy, but ours was nowhere to be seen for a while. The ketchup at our table was completely empty. Eventually we had to grab the bottle at the table behind us because we realized she wasn’t gonna come over… but surprise- that was nearly empty too. Our fries were not warm either, that was a definite bummer.
My Diet Coke was pretty flat to start with and eventually got completely flat and watered down. By the time the server came back, we were finished eating and I had just started drinking my water, so there was no point in asking for another.
The server seemed fairly pleasant but maybe just not trained well. I do notice a vast majority of reviews here share our experience of servers who go ghost after the first interaction. This seems like a training issue and should definitely be addressed. Checking on a table after they receive their food is common practice most places. To not check once after delivering food is mind blowing. What if there was a serious issue with my food? I would’ve had to walk up to the bar to make it known. That’s not my job as a patron. I’m there to enjoy my lunch. We mentioned the empty ketchup and that we grabbed one from another table and all she said was “oh yeah we need to replace those.” No apology.
Also- it was ABSOLUTELY freezing. I am talking COLD. It was actually uncomfortable to sit and wait for food. I heard another table mention it too. I could feel cold air. Please, please fix that. It is not fun to sit and wait for your food while nearly shivering.
It’ll probably be a good while before we return if at all. Very saddened this was our...
Read more3rd time giving them a try and another awful experience. I'm still confused on how people enjoy this place.
My son summarized this review perfectly: "If I was Gordon Ramsy I would stop service and retrain and motivate everyone. This place is in need of help!"
Ordered a margarita. Wait. Watch other people sit down 10 minutes later they get drinks. Continue to patiently wait for drink. Get food and still wait for drink. Never get drink and finally cancel my drink since it's obvious what I ordered isn't coming in a reasonable time. Bartender claims tickets aren't going through, but my 13 year old pointed out everyone else is getting their orders except 2 tables.
Food was 50/50. Sons burger was fine, but tots were inedible. He complained that they tasted like old grease. I didn't believe him because a 13 year old who waited an hour for food would be so hungry he wouldnt not eat his tots. Test it and spit it out. Now I'm waiting for the old grease taste to leave my mouth.
I really wish after my 3rd visit I would have 1 positive experience, but it just hasn't worked out. I generally try to be understanding and give a local place a few chances before judging, but this place is just not cutting it.
I still tipped 20% because I'm not a jerk, but something really needs to be changed. I feel they spend all their money making the place look nice and not enough on training...
Read moreI have heard good things about Scooter's, so we decided to give it a shot. We got seated and got our drink orders in. The waitress came back and took out lunch order. About 40 mins later she brought food out to the customers that showed up after us and then food came out for the people after them and then one more couple after them. We had ordered two sandwiches, chicken strips and a salad so not sure why it would have taken an hour to get our food. ( yes an Hour)When she finally showed up with our food my friend asked if something was wrong and she told us that one of there cooks called out. If she would have lead with that from the start then we might have been a little more understanding, or the choice to go elsewhere before ordering and not waste an hour waiting. But not as so much as an i'm sorry for the delay in your order here let me comp you and appetizer for the wait or to hold you over till your food comes out. Nothing, and not even an i'm sorry. The other bartender/ waitress we noticed seemed to make a conscious effort not to make eye contact with any of our table the entire hour. We will not be going back or even a recommendation to Scooter's. The food was actually very tasty, just the service and communication was sorely lacking. This was the first impression for all four of us...
