Rudy's Restaurant Upper State — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

The one on upper State is not so great. The food is still good ol' Rudy's quality, but it's run rather poorly. Tried calling to place an order and they wouldn't pick up, so I had to go and do it in person. While I was there at least three people called, and they wouldn't even GLANCE in the phone's general direction. You have to check everything every time, because they almost always mess-up some part of your order. I'm sure the "Tacos" are their biggest seller. Now they put a TON of lettuce on, and the tiniest pinch of cheese. It's a bummer that they closed the one on Calle Real. If you go in on the later side, they will have put all the condiments away. And say you get an order of "Taquitos" to eat there... You get a real decent amount of guacamole. Great! Get them to GO however, and you'll get a small souffle cup. When asked for a little more like you get for dine-in, they said no. Very poor customer service right there :' ( I'd recommend avoiding this location until management trains their staff in a more professional manner.

I typically love this place... But my son ordered me flautas... And I got some resembling soft soggy flour burrito filled with chicken only drenched in sauce... Everyone knows that a flauta is like a Taquitos except a flour tortilla and is crunchy! The guy asked my son what do you mean flauta and gave him this. How do you not know what flauta is? It would have actually been okay, if it was good... Im surprised it wasn't, because their food is good! They do beve the best crunchy tacos... I called, they said sorry, nothing we can do about my order. Anyway, if you order flautas say you want the crunchy flautas... Or you might get this

Update... Order the flauta special... Got actual flautas this time.. But they forgot my rice and beans and quacamole!

Time to find a new place... Not sure what's going on with the store on upper...

The worst place never ever eat at this place.tow weekends ago I call they answer at last moment to say sorry we are closing and don't take phone calls order. Last Sunday I call back again at 8:05 pm order tow fajita burritos with carne asada, rice on the side my husband wen to pick up the food and gets what? They took 35 minutes to make mi food and not what I ordered they give my husband tow burritos with beans,rice,cream,and carne asada came back with the food and the cashier tells me,,,,the I never place any order and they never received any phone call from me, but they was having a ticket at the kitchen and took 35 minutes my husband arrive and said,I have a order to pick up, and tell him it's gonna be ready really soon.
