šŸ„– Bread: The vegan bread options at Oat Bakery are simply outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the variety they offer, with each bread being fresh and warm. Their sourdough with flaxseed was amazing - chewy and slightly yeasty, just delicious. The vegan cinnamon rolls and veggie sandwich were incredible too. The quality and taste of their bread, especially the unique ones like the seed bread and the one with cheddar cheese and apples, left a lasting impression on me šŸ” Atmosphere: Oat Bakery is a cozy and charming spot, a true hidden gem in Santa Barbara. It's a tiny place but has a great vibe, very organic and authentic. The bakery, with its counter opening right onto the street, adds a quaint and welcoming touch. It felt great to be there, enjoying their delicious offerings in such a homely environment šŸ˜ Overall Experience: I was truly amazed by the quality of breads and other items at Oat Bakery. Everything I tried was exceptional. This place is definitely on my must-visit list for Santa Barbara, and I plan to load up on their delicious breads every time I'm in town. It's not just a bakery, it's an experience - one that I highly recommend to anyone visiting or living in Santa Barbara In summary, Oat Bakery is a delightful discovery with its excellent vegan bread options and cozy ambiance, making it a must-visit for anyone in Santa Barbara looking for fresh, warm, and tasty bakery items. There are no seating areas. You wait in line, get in, select, buy and leave happy!!!

Finally got to try their famous sourdough! I visited twice before and both time they were closed. This is a tiny bakery, takeout only, and you can see the bakers work behind the open counter. the smell of the freshly baked bread just lured you in! We got the signature Sesame Charcoal Sourdough. The crust is thin and fragrant with nutty sesame seeds, the crumb is unbelievably beautiful with charcoal and wheat marble, and it’s super tender and fluffy. This is the most enjoyable sourdough I have had the past years. We also had the focaccia with onion and cheese. It’s savory, light and airy in texture and has the satisfying chewiness from the crust. I will definitely come again.

Best find in Santa Barbara!!! We were lucky to be staying a couple doors down and happened to walk into this cute little bakery. The women that work there are just so lovely and you get to see them at work making their breads. We really enjoyed the sweets. They use a date paste instead of sugar and later I found out they are vegan also. You MUST try the Hygge bun which is like a little cinnamon roll baked fresh daily and warm from the ovenšŸ˜‹We went every day for breakfast and even brought some home to put in the freezer. This was like a dream for me since I cannot have sugar cane or dairy so I usually am not able to get sweets. Absolutely THE best!

Was hoping this location would be a bit bigger with more offerings, like espresso and maybe a few small barstools. Just came from train station and wanted to make a stop for a relaxing break. I did however purchase a hygge bun to go as well as a large focaccia loaf. I've been waiting to try Oat for a long time! Although I had to find another place to enjoy it, I loved the texture and flavor of the hygge bun. I tend to make these at home because the ones I found in California bakeries tend to be on the drier side. Definitely the best cardamom bun I've had in CA. Loved how moist this was, but I could do without the hemp hearts on top.

Side note, love the plaid wrapping and glad it was wrapped as the bread's oils seep through. Foccacia was delicious and I hope to explore a different location in the future and try...

Wow, where to begin?! The array of delicious breads are so tempting. The seeded and charcoal sourdough are some of our favorites as are the gluten-free cookie with seeds and chocolate… And that focaccia wow the olive focaccia or their farmers specialty.

Our daughter lives in Paris and we spend a lot of time there so we get to taste a lot of good bread Still the oat bakery in our sweet town make some of the best bread bar none in the world

And let’s talk about the spreads… They are so good. You have a variety of different organic spreads that might have some chives or truffle… Whether you are plant-based or not, you will be happy to know they are completely plant based no dairy and easy on the heart and the digestive system

Sometimes I go there just for the spread, but of course walk away with...
