Horrible customer service. The owner or manager and the older lady are rude and cheap. Bottom line I would never recommend this place. $7 for terrible slice of pizza served on cheap flimsy paper plates. They handed me a huge pizza of sloppy pizza on a flimsy 99 cent store plate. When this too heavy pizza for the plate made the plate flimsy and pizza slide off right at their counter in front of them I asked them for a new slice and a better plate or box the rude owner insisted I was intoxicated to cashier who handed me the pizza and it was not their fault the pizza fell off plate. (I am 6 months pregnant.) I overheard her rude comment and asked to speak to someone else, when the owner and manager came over he told me I could buy a new slice for half off. Cheap cheap cheap....Then he yells and kicks a (stranger) out of the restaurant who witnessed the whole thing and defended me and thought how they acted was so unprofessional. Bottom line terrible customer actually no customer service. His own employee offered to pay for a new slice for me. The money was not the issue it was the principle and doing the right thing. Bottom of the line don't go, I spent $30 on 4 (slices) of pizza and they couldn't even work with me when they saw the whole accident. We all didn't even finish the pizza, too much sauce under...
Read morePros: Probably the best pizza in Santa Barbara. The dough tastes correct and I'll give the most marks there, the crust is solid and the sauce and cheese act as a decent compliment. The sauce is on the muted riper side. Got pepperoni as the topping, and no issues there.
The pizza came with a nice logo'd wax paper over the paper plate, this was a nice touch.
Note: I think some other commenter complained about paper plates, in New York unless you get a pie, this is how pizza is traditionally served. It is not knife and fork food. The paper plate is the perfect compliment as it has give, this is suited to proper pizza-eating technique and etiquette.
Cons: I can get (at least) three or four slices and a soda for the same price is most of New York, but hey, California. Pizza isn't really a thing here. Also watch out for the upcharge on card payments, I'm not sure why out here everywhere has such high minimums or fees, it feels back in time, in the not so good way I mean.
Conclusion: Anyways, if you need a pizza fix in Santa Barbara, I would recommend this joint. Just be aware, it's probably far more worth it to get a whole pie at the...
Read morePRO: This pizza is legitimate. And I’ve had many a pie. Most people rate this place lower due to the price. Which isn’t bad, unless you’re expecting Domino’s or Little Squeezer’s. We ordered the calzone with anchovies. It was delicious. Also a beer ON TAP. The music was superb, playing classic Sinatra style. Any pizza place should have tap beer, hence the atmosphere rating. The only negative is that they might need to do a bit of remodeling on the ceiling to accommodate the weather and tear. However, this is minute. Eat their pie and enjoy. They also have a GIANT pie if you choose. And the bathroom was clean😎 CONS: They could have included more variety of veggies in the calzone (included was olive, mushroom, red onion,...
