The servers here were totally fine; a really busy day at fiesta, I get it, hard to keep up with the rush and stay excited and friendly.

However, I wanted to get 3 street tacos, which should've been about 12 dollars plus tax; instead, the woman on register rang me up for their Yona Special, the same thing with a soup side for $17. When I tried to tell her that I just wanted the three individual tacos, she gave me a bit of a shocked look, then charged me for $22 dollars instead, the price of the combo plate if the tacos were purchased separately instead of being part of the deal. I just bit the bullet and paid so the long line of fiesta traffic could keep moving in.

The outdoor menu also reported lower, incorrect pricing in addition to the disappointing service.

If this was the only Mexican place in SB, the food would be great, but Lily's Taqueria has better meat and a much more generous pricing model, and is only a couple blocks away.

Maybe I was unclear with my order in some way, but I still feel like the up charge, in addition to the high...

Mannnnn I hate to say it, but they’ve REALLY dropped the ball in the last year or two from when these tacos were sold as a pop up.

I know quesabirria tacos are always going to be more expensive than regular tacos, so when they miss it’s such a disappointment. Honestly the last few times I’ve gone the tacos aren’t even crispy, they’re barely dipped in the consome and heated up on the flat top - don’t even THINK you’ll get crispy cheese. On a Friday at 1 pm??

I got the yona special which was something like $19 before taxes that comes with 3 tacos and a side of consome, but when I added on a (teeny tiny) side of rice, my total was $27.12….with NO drink!

Ain’t no way I’m coming back to pay almost $30 for mid tacos unless I’m already out at the bars and spent a fortune anyways. And even then I’ll probably just get street tacos or something. Sorry to say but my last visit was just...

Such bad service! My wife & I came here to try this place out. As, we approach the restaurant we tried to place our order with the guy at the register and he asked us to wait because he was taking care of a table. We said, sure no problem and told him we would wait. We told the guy to let us know when he would be ready to take our order. As we sat down at the table that was literally right next to the register another couple walks in to the restaurant & the same guy who told us to wait “takes their order” My wife and I both look at each other and say, What just happened? He just literally told us to wait a second ago, but yet he then takes the order of the couple right behind us. Such BAD Service We will never come to this place again! We were totally ignored. Very disappointed with this...

Now for real. The best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Since I love spicy, my mom hate it. This restaurant have either spicy or mild. And we both enjoyed it so much. This food is made with passion and love. Mood inside is - I felt like I’m in home. It’s not expensive - you can get small soft taco for 3$ or “real”taco for 5$ - and you won’t be hungry after 2 of them. You got free nachos (lot of nachos), and as I remember - 5 or 6 different salsa (as much as you want) - all same as in Mexico. And you get free water ( also as much as you want). So basically we went for 2 tacos to try at home. And we’ve decided to stay there for 30 mins to enjoy the moment. That was awesome, if I visit Santa Barbara once again, I will visit this restaurant definitely!

I came here to have a nosh before a concert. I ordered the “famous” birria quesadilla taco. It was cold. Smallest portion of rice was $5. Cold. I notice two other couples are offered chips and salsa. They were white. I’m not. I ask the employee Mike why didn’t I get any. He said I’d order enough. My total plus tip was $19.84. I ask him what’s the price point? He scoffed. I asked him if it was because I’m not white. He told me to leave. Don’t go here unless you’re white because the self hating Mexican won’t offer you free chips and salsa.
