Denny's — Restaurant in Santa Clara

The Mexican music the cooks were playing was way to loud and clashed with the already playing music on the juke box. Which was not pleasant with our cold meal. Pure Chaos.

We received poor service from a young unique looking waitress straight out of dragville. To much make up, glitter all around her eyes.(It looked like she bedazzled her face) and long biker chains with her uniform is not part of the Dennys uniform we are accustomed to.

She's unique I get it, but management needs to step in and inforce the Dennys employee dress code.

The unique looking waitress forgot what we asked for. My wife had to get up and ask another waiter for it.

The unique looking waitress was also distracted by long conversations explaining to all her customers about all that glitter and goop on her eyes. (She talks very loud)

In the meantime she served us cold food with all the explaining she had to do with every customer she waited on.

We are SC locals. We have experienced better service and food there.

To be honest, we're not sure we will return, and that's ok too.

*Dress the way you want, but don't serve paying customers cold food and be present with the kind of work you do, Customer Service.

*Choose ONE source of music. Having two sources playing at the same time...

It's kind of hard for me to review this place because my first experience, which was in the late afternoon and arlier in the week and it was amazin. I ordered a new dish on the menu called Mama D's pot roast. That was as bold move on my part because I rarely will even order a meat dish from a restaurant, unless I happen to be at Alexanders Steak House or something equivalent to that. Ok, so, to my surprise it was perfect. The carrots & celery were cooked perfect, just the right crunch still in them. I'm not into soggy vegetables. The meat was tender and lean. Very good quality and cooked perfectly. I was sold. I kept talking about it for days, to whoever would listen. Now FF to last night. I sold my friend on the idea of going to Denny's to get this amazing Mama D's dish and I had such a bad experience. They gave me something that slightly resembled what I had ordered earlier in the weak but it tasted horrible. It was salty and soggy and they gave me the wrong flavored milkshake and well, it just spiraled downward from there. Granted it was midnight and they were probably ready to go home or something? Anyways, I guess I will chop it up to inconsistent. It's a gamble,...

I usually come here because of a specific server who is always kind she usually has really pretty glittery makeup but man the difference she makes because today when someone else served us I left really disappointed and i honestly feel sick after leaving

This different server never checked up on us and we had to go out of our way to get his attention. We got our food before our utensils and anytime we tried talking to him for a refill or a sauce it seemed to anger him. So I thought the best hung to do was leave him alone. But then of there was a problem with my pancakes I noticed they had ash on them and some pieces of onion burnt on to it which made the pancake taste gross.I figured it’s probably because they cooked the pancakes with the same pan as our food.The sad thing about this is it’s not the first time it has happened. I asked for a change and thankfully i got another batch although it was really burned I didn’t mind because I felt it would be an inconvenience if I changed them again so I tried eating it but half way through one pancake there was a hair and at that point I didn’t want to ask for them to change it because I just didn’t want any more...
