TL;DR - Do not ever order the Hot Cocoa. Either they'll try to give you a cold one, or you'll never get it.
Long version: It was my kid's turn to pick a lunch spot, and he was really looking forward to In-N-Out. Besides a burger, he was craving a Hot Cocoa. It wasn't raining at the time, so I gladly paid for a Hot Cocoa with my order. He got some stickers, and everything was great... until it came time to pick up our food.
"Did you get your Hot Cocoa yet?" the lady asked. "I did not," I replied. She went to the machine to make it. It took a few minutes, and I watched as she poured some cocoa mix into the machine. Eventually, she hands the cup to a colleague at the Pick up Station.
"This isn't warm. Is that okay?" her colleague told me, as she handed me the cup. In my mind, 'this isn't warm' could mean a number of things - it could mean it's very hot, or it's very cold. Unfortunately, it was the latter. "No, I'd like to have a hot one, please," I told her as I handed the cup back.
"It's gonna take five minutes," she replied. "Are you gonna call my order number when it's ready?" I asked. "No, just wait right here," she told me. Remember, I've already been waiting a few minutes and our food was getting cold.
So I brought the food over to my family, including my disappointed kid, and told them I needed to wait longer for the Hot Cocoa.
After five more minutes of waiting, and no Hot Cocoa in sight, I asked the worker at the Pick Up station for a refund.
Then, it took four people, and two different registers to figure out how to process the refund. I think I overheard one of them tell another that when someone orders a Hot Cocoa, he needed to turn on the machine. What? Why isn't your machine always on?
This was by far, the greatest display on incompetence I've seen at In-N-Out. Avoid this one. Go to Sunnyvale or Mountain View or Coleman. Go to any other In-N-Out. And never order the Hot Cocoa.
Thank you, In-N-Out for ruining...

As soon as you walk in, you are brought back to your childhood days. The menu is short and succinct while having everything you could need. You can grab a seat and sit down while they announce numbers over the loudspeaker. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate milkshake. A perfect Amercian burger with a nice smooth milkshake, everything came out correctly. Definitely go for the added onions on top as well, super worth it.
Now as much as the restaurant has a fantastic vibe to it, the restaurant could be a worldwide landmark. Trash cans: 2 trash cans, 2 points. Easy as that and separated to the right distance. Spacing: the urinals had great spacing to not be too close to each other. Easy 2 points the mirror was in a good spot too. Comfortability: just like entering the restaurant when you enter the bathroom, you feel safe and secure with the illustrious design. The toilet seat was perfect. 2 points undisputed. Cleanliness: an almost spotless bathroom with some water on the floor still gets it to pick up 1 point in this category. Lighting: the way the lights shine on the walls on bounce of the shine on the ground, you know for sure you are in a good place. Straight up 2 points for that lighting. Overall 9/10: Destination bathroom is an understatement for this place. If not for the as is slight water on the ground then it could have gotten a...
Read more3/5. Alright but did not meet my experience from another location.
Previously I had In n Out at the Ontario, California location near the Ontario Convention Center. I was shocked at how good it was to eat. I went back to the location 2 times, before leaving the area after Anime Los Angeles 2018.
I decided to visit this location because of my craving for an amazing burger. After driving to San Fran for the evening.
For some reason, (at 0000 hr) the regular burger wasn't as refreshing to eat as compared to the location near the Ontario Convention Center location. The regular burger was lack luster, due to it not giving off a refreshing yet satisfying feeling after eating it. The fries was good and redeemed the location.
After the regular burger, I tried the double double 15 minutes later. To confirm if it was a one off moment for the regular burger. The double double hit the spot. It was close to the feeling of the double double from the Ontario Convention Center location. However, not exact to the feeling.
Overall, the lettuce and onions could have been more crunchy and cooler. The patties of meat could have been warmer. In order to create a feeling of eating a savoury yet refreshing burger.
I am willing to give another In n Out location a try. After this alright...
