I was told by an employee and manager that I couldn't have my psychiatric service dog inside with me. The manager stated that I had to have paperwork or a vest and tag for her to be allowed inside. This is a direct violation of ADA law. I informed the manager that I am not legally required to furnish paperwork as proof and that they are only allowed to ask if she is indeed a service dog, and what task she is trained to perform. His rebuttal was "I know its hot but its sad when people like you use that as an excuse to bring dogs in, but here I'll ring you up". The manager was clearly discriminating against me with a predisposed judgment of who I am based off of appearance with me being young woman with vibrantly colored hair, tattoos, piercings and walk and talk fine. My disability is still a very real one though, despite that I look healthy. I set down what I was going to purchase and walked out while the manager uttered snide and sarcastic remarks as I left in front of a crowd of people. I will be pursuing legal action against the manager for defamation of character and discrimination, and won't be purchasing from this location again, and possibly not from company unless their leaders start educating themselves their staff about ADA laws and not allowing staff to treat customers so poorly. Very sad day for all involved, as paris baguette is my favorite bakery, but it is particularly unfortunate for the company as I am a very regular customer who spends an average of $1500+ per month here, and also has a very nasty mean streak with a distinct and unhealthy obsession with unrelenting and creative ways to get back at people...
Read moreI had one of the most disappointing experiences at this location. My friend and I ordered the sweet cream cold brew, and was initially told they were out of sweet cream and that it would take a while. That was understandable â delays happen. But when we finally received our drinks, they tasted rancid, as though the sweet cream had gone bad.
We politely went back to the counter just to inform the staff â not asking for a refund or a replacement, simply trying to let them know. Instead of listening, the employee was shockingly rude and dismissive. We were told, âI think youâve never had cold brew before. Itâs the coffee, not the sweet cream.â She refused to even consider the feedback, and the tone was unnecessarily condescending.
The way we were treated was unprofessional and disrespectful. I donât usually leave reviews, but this experience was truly upsetting. I hope the management takes this seriously and trains their staff better on both quality control and customer...
Read moreThe women manager on 04/13/24 at 6pm (claimed to be the only one there) was completely impolite and denied giving me a spoon even with purchase. My boyfriend asked for a spoon and she said âwe donât give them outâ in which he proceeded to say âdo I have to buy something to get one?â and she still proceeded to say no. I guess even as a paying customer you are denied a spoon. Another customer asked for a spoon prior to purchasing a large cake and she proceeded to say âwe donât give out spoons for cakes.â Thatâs absolutely ridiculous! The manager caused annoyance, inconvenience, needless anxiety, and made us very upset, and argued for a good 7 minutes to me about denying me utensils. The manager didnât display courtesy or kindness at all, and Iâm highly dissatisfied and disappointed, left the store in tears. I left feedback on the actual website, hoping they do something about the...
