After celebrating 18 years in the USA, I visited a coffee shop where I encountered some concerning behavior. Upon entering, I noticed several children running around behind the counter with no greeting or acknowledgement from the staff. The children continued to hang on the counter for about 10 minutes until one of them finally helped. Even then, the other child simply said "thank you" without any assistance.
As someone who pays taxes and is a citizen of this great nation, I couldn't help but feel discriminated against. I apologize for my third world melanin, but I want to emphasize that I have friends in all 50 states who can vouch for my character. We have traveled together on big boats and worked on big trucks, which were all my favorite color green, just like the dollar bills.
I want to address the owner directly and say that I was sitting in your coffee shop in 2017 when someone noticed my laptop and offered me a job at their company. However, I was disappointed by the 1-star customer service I received on Sunday afternoon, April 16th, between 2-2:20 pm. I urge you to review the cameras and see what happened to the once-great service at your...
Read moreTagged Bodhi for a visit following an appointment scheduled in the area. Had an Ethiopian coffee prepared via French Press. Simply, just one of the best coffee experiences I've had. This place is a gem. They "know" coffee. In a culture that consumes as much coffee as we do in the states, it still stuns me how rare it is to find places like this - attention to beans and their sourcing, attention to roasting, options for preparation (French press, pour over, espresso, etc.), and a staff that knows what they are doing. I walked away with a bag of the Tiger Blend which I'll be trying at home this week. Alas, in the town where I live, of well over 100,000 people, there are no roasters serving the community. Our best (cough cough) are the chain coffee stops - which are a far cry from places like Bodhi. Some nice shopping options in the store for home prep equipment (grinders, pour over units, kettles, roasters, etc.). Glad I found this place - and will be a permanent pin on the map for future trips to the Santa Clarita area. Shipping available I see on their web site too - so will be planning on sampling from here for...
Read moreThe best coffee in town. The are a direct distributor of coffee from all over the world. They cut out the middle man, so fresher product and better price. I went in with my family last Saturday and the (manager, or assistant manager) was more than knowledgeable of what I was looking for and recommended a Cafe Ole. They were professional, the cafe is very nicely decorated and the prices are reasonable. They also have some pastries to go with your coffee, but you won't need them, the coffee alone is great. They also were spotlighted on The Profit, where Marcus helped them take the company from one location to over three different locations in Southern California alone. More growth is expected but for now I will take my local coffee shop! OH yeah and check out the decor, it is unique and adds flavor to...
