It's in n out! Long lines outside (always) pretty-short wait if you go inside. The biggest problem with this location is that the line monopolizes an entire small parking lot. There are plenty of other stores there. All of those stores basically need to surrender their spots and that entire side of the parking lot to In-N-Out. Today I was frustrated because the guy next to me was racing as fast as he could closely get to be on the next customer's tail as they were waiting in line. But there was still a car trying to get out to my right, nowhere for me to go if I kept driving straight, and a car trying to get out of the parking lot on my left. All I wanted to do was simply park my car in front of In-N-Out and walk in. It took me longer than it should have for me to simply park in a spot that was close enough for me to bring my kid to in and out and walk in. My kid has a busted leg. I did not need the handicap spot. All I needed to do was simply park in there very open parking lot. In and out has plenty of room in their parking lot. But there is no room for anyone else in the rest of the entire parking lot because of their lines. It's not like they have been caught by surprise about how large the line is either. They have cones and tape and everything guiding you around. They even have a guy out there with a computer and a cup holder for when he gets thirsty. The location is pretty bad. It could definitely be improved by moving more of the line toward in and out itself rather than pushing it into a one-way street if you are looking to go anywhere else. Maybe I want to go to Verizon, maybe I want to go to Foster's donuts, maybe I want to visit one of the stores nearby, I can't do that because in and out has decided that they need to keep an empty parking lot and have everyone push their way through. When it's not me complaining about how hard it is to find parking, if you were just waiting in the drive-thru line you would find yourself inside of a larger parking lot where you are definitely violating plenty of rules in order to simply grab a cheeseburger in your 15 minute wait. As far as the drive-through part goes, it's nasty. If you are trying to park and walk in, it's not fun. Once you get in, everything...
Read moreIn 'n Out is ok, nothing to write home about. Double double animal style is the only thing that tastes decent, and the fries always taste half-cooked. I have no idea why cars line up by the dozens - it's basically on par with McDonalds, if McDonalds made anything that didn't taste like it was 5 hours old. If you want a fast-food burger that actually tastes good, Fatburger or Five Guys is where it's at - and coming from the East Coast and being a burger fan, In 'n Out was the first place I stopped at once I moved here. Needless to say, i was rather disappointed after listening to others rave about this place for years. I've been here 5-6 times....I hate basing things off of one visit....and just do not understand how on earth the food warrants the lines they get, other than people are too lazy to get out of their cars. The service at In 'n Out is...
Read moreWhat can be said about In-N-Out that hasn't already been said a thousand times? A SoCal institution (though spreading quickly) that must be tried. Hands down my favorite fast-food cheeseburger.
Nevermind the not-so-secret menu and just order a Double-Double with regular onions (not grilled or chopped onion, those just end up with the other cold veggies) to get the true flavor - they put the onion slice on top of the cheese while the patty & cheese stack is still on the grill. That cooks the onion a tiny bit, softening it and removing much of the bitter taste as the onion flavor percolates down into the cheese and meat. The result is fantastic, and I can't figure out why others haven't copied this. I have them skip the lettuce and tomato too, just spread and onions. That's a cheeseburger...
