This is one of those times that I wish I could give 3 1/2 stars. My recent experience doesn't deserve a full four stars, but I feel that three is a bit harsh. However, I hold Sharkey's up to a high standard and this location on this visit fell short.
Let's start with the ordering process. Our counter helper was friendly enough, but my wife wanted to order a NuMex salad and tortilla soup. As she was placing her order, I reminded her that they have a soup and salad combo that includes a NuMex salad. The picture on their website looked like the perfect amount of food for her. However the counter helper informed us that the salad offered with the soup and salad combo was a side salad with a vinaigrette dressing. Well, if that is the case, it certainly is not what is presented on their website. The web clearly states that the combo is a NuMex salad with tortilla soup. So, my wife ordered a separate salad and soup, which was more food than she needed. On the positive side, she said the salad was delicious.
I can't say the same about the rest of our food. I am a big Sharkey's fan. We now live in a state without Sharkey's, so whenever we are in California visiting family, I always make it a point to visit Sharkey's, usually the Palmdale or Burbank locations. On this visit, I had already been to the Palmdale location three times in a week, so the visit to the Santa Clarita location was my fourth visit. After ordering our food, we waited for 20 minutes for our buzzer to inform us that our food was ready. We finally decided to walk to the pickup station and check on it, and it was ready, all right, just sitting on a cart. We took the food to our table and immediately realized that the food was cold. If it was hot, as it should have been, it would have been excellent. Cold food is never good. Beyond that, the guacamole was not up to their standards. It was watery and stringy, obviously made from sub-par fruit. Fine, but I would rather be told "the guacamole is not quite our best" when ordering and save my money than to get a product that is less than the quality it should be.
If this were a Taco Bell that I was visiting, I would expect a less than stellar experience. But this is Sharkey's, and the previous experiences at other locations this week were all on point and excellent. Sad to say, I could not, based on this visit, recommend this location. Read moreI've lost faith in this Sharky's and won't be ordering again. We had the identical experience 2 weeks in a row trying to order through Doordash and after some calls and detail checking it looks like this restaurant is too busy to properly process these orders.
Last week I tried calling the restaurant to make sure they understood the order we placed. They seemed very rushed and said the food had already been made and couldn't make any modifications. I said fine and then immediately received an email saying the order had been cancelled. You can imagine the frustration of having a limited time to get food, goes through the whole process of deciding what to eat, and placing an order, only to have it cancelled with no reason given.
I thought it was an anomaly and we tried to order AGAIN from Sharky's this week. I called the restaurant immediately after placing the order...I was put on hold twice. No problem. Restaurants get busy and can't deal with phone calls immediately. The third person to pick up said he didn't know if he could make a modification to the order because it was already made. Turns out this wasn't true as the order hadn't been confirmed by them. But I definitely got the sense from this "manager" that they were way too busy dealing with orders to deal with someone crazy calling just to, umm, talk about an order.
Doordash was no help and Sharky's apparently wouldn't answer the phone when they called to check on this.
This whole process took a half an hour, making out available dinner window again too tight to actually order anything, leaving us scrambling to figure out what to eat.
We like Sharky's food but will definitely not be visiting this location or ordering from them again as they've demonstrated they're far too busy to worry about servicing...

This is second time here today with my two kids ...and always they have problem You have to wait more than 40 minutes to get your food. Last week I was here and after 50 minutes of waiting I went to front desk asking where is my food and the waiters said to me sorry your salad iis here. They forgot about me. Today I am sitting here again and waiting my salad And I today I decided not go to front desk asking for my salad . I will keep waiting till I see how long it will take them to. Bring my salad .... The waiters s just came asking for my receipt and I told him they did not give me receipt thy gave me number44 .still waiting. ..waiting. ....waiters he came back again saying if I Can not wait he can give me back my money. Ohhh my God super customers service. I need to eat I don't need my money. After 45 minutes waiting he is offering me to give me my money back ....still waiting. No salad yet. 10minutes later he showes up and At the end he just brought my salad. .... 60minutes to get your Sharkys salad. Wow wow. This is second time here. Same problem. So many employees moving around without any operation procedures No SOP. here.
