Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Santa Fe Springs

Usually when I visit a sonics I have great experiences overall to the point I want to go back. Seeing this location open up less then 10 minutes away from my house I was super excited! With this being said I am overall disappointed with the Santa Fe springs location. From staff to food it's not good. Drinks of course are not include on this so if this is the only reason you go then I get it but please take this as caution...dont expect your order quickly. We ordered through doordash and picked up the order. We arrived early and did not check in until the app adv it was ready. From moment of checking in to receiving our order we waited 20 minutes and in that time I checked in with 4 different employee. First 3 were regular employees saying they would "check on it" go in and say it "will be right out." We noticed our shakes sitting on the shelves so we were naturally hoping it wasnt ours. On the last check in I checked in with the MOD and advised about our time waiting. The manager then started making our order..how do I know? There's a big window where you can see into the kitchen and our order had specific items. The shakes were remade and the manager brought out our items. I understand busy restaurants are a handful (been in their shoes) but don't expect your order to be out on time if you're picking up inside. Car side and drive thru are HIGHLY prioritized, even uber eats and doordashers were complaining. So those ordering through 3rd parties please be kind to your driver, it's not their fault your order is late. In the end food is good and my only concern is that the shakes we ordered looked identical. My biggest concern is I ordered an ingredient in mine that my husband is allergic too and his didn't have it...we couldn't tell which was which and they were not marked and we were not advised. The serivce was alright. It took almost 20 mins for the food to be made, there wasnt as many people there when i went, so i feel like it should have been a tad faster. (We left when the lunch rush hit) The place is clean. The burger was ok. Honestly tasted like a pan fried burger i make at home. The fries were delicious though. Next time im going to try just sides and one of their drinks. For the price i paid ($30) for two medium meals...i dont think it was worth it. Again, next time im going to try something else. The young lady that brought out our food was super sweet and even replaced my drink after my toddler spilled my drink all over me. I appreciate her. My biggest peve was i had to order from a drive through like kiosk. They talk through the speaker and it Eccoed through the whole restaurant, making it hard to understand them. There is a window there that orders could be clearly order from, but its unused. If you want us to order from a kiosk, please make if full touch screen....otherwise people like myself went in to speak to someone face to face. I will be back for hopfully a better...

Went on mothers day to buy blizzards and a few sundaes . Total was 27.00 dollars . They completely messed up my order and as a result my ice cream melted . They still tried to make me take them . I refused to take melted ice cream so a refund was offered and they took the sales receipt in order to do so . Flash forward a month that refund never came in even after I called to verify it a week later . The manager I spoke to Mia Tapia said she couldnt do anything since they had no receipt ( yea because that was your bullshit policy) even after I offered my transaction info from my bank . She blamed the incident on a Donnie and that I should reach out to him or call corporate. Dont waste your time or effort with this location plenty of places to eat with better food and service around here . It took them 45 minutes to get my order of melted ice cream out and at the end I received nothing for $27.31 unless thats what they charger per hour on parking .

Edit :still haven't gotten a call from management or refund like the corporate...
