It’s a new year and what better way to start than with Santa Fe’s newest kosher deli! If today is the indication for how the other 364 will be then I think we are in for the most delicious year yet! Wow! We were truly blown away by everything we ordered: crispy schnitzel and falafel plates accompanied by savory latkes, Israeli salad, and matzah ball soup rounded out our first meal of the year. It sounds like a lot of food but you’ll be fighting over who gets to finish it. Service and the overall vibe is warm and inviting just like the good people working hard to make it look effortless. Treat yourself to an authentic jewish cuisine experience at the Manhattan Avenue Deli!

This hidden gem has tasty authentic Jewish cuisine and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone that loves falafel , pastrami and Latkes. After going there once , I promise you will become a regular there. It is a brand new restaurant, so for now it is open only for limited hours Wednesday and Thursday for lunch from 11:30-2:30.

Chef Aaron makes a wicked pastrami sandwich. Absolutely authentic down to the sourdough bread. The falafel was also perfectly crunchy and soft! Beautiful setting and awesome food!

I really wanted to like this place. I grew up around fabulous Jewish delis in suburban Detroit, and I love the Jewish delis in Manhattan, so I hoping that this would bear at least a resemblance to a genuine Jewish deli. I ordered a pastrami sandwich to go, it was $18 plus tax. That's as much as they charge in Manhattan for the same thing, so naturally I expected it to be a huge pile of pastrami on light rye. Well....what I found when I got home was just embarrassing. A half inch thick layer of small pieces of mediocre pastrami between two pieces of soft nearly crustless white bread. I wish I could offer something positive about the food, but I will not be returning to...

AT LAST!! Real deli food in Santa Fe! Can't say enough about the matza ball soup. Broth has a beautiful depth of flavor and the matzoh balls are perfection. The falafel tastes like Israel - I haven't seen it so crunchy and tasty since my visit there. I've been eating my way through the entire menu. Hot pastrami is great. The corned beef is subtly seasoned, so delicious. I recommend it with sauerkraut! Highly recommend the latkes. What could be better than home baked chocolate babka? Just like NY! Atmosphere is homey in a historic building - second floor of the Jewish Center Chabad in the heart of downtown . A lot of excited patrons fill the space along with lively...
