The new Mexico state capitol building is a remarkable piece of architectural brilliance that truly encapsulates the essence of the state of New Mexico. From its imposing structure to its intricate design details, this building is an impressive testament to the art of modern architecture.
The building, which was opened in 1966, boasts a modern and sleek design that is both striking and functional. The exterior is sleek, with a blend of clean lines and curves that creates an impressive and elegant look. The building is constructed mainly from concrete and steel, which has been beautifully carved and polished to create an intricate design that reflects the style of the region.
Inside, the New Mexico state capitol building is a sight to behold. The rotunda is particularly impressive, with a massive skylight that allows natural light to spill into the interior, highlighting the exquisite murals and sculptures that adorn the walls. The building is also full of thoughtful touches, such as the stunning stained glass windows and the wooden panels that add a traditional touch to an otherwise modern building.
Another noteworthy feature of the New Mexico state capitol building is its use of local materials. The building is constructed from locally sourced stone and wood, which adds to its sense of place and creates a deep connection to the local landscape.
Overall, the New Mexico state capitol building is a magnificent structure that is not only beautiful to look at but also symbolic of the rich history and culture of the state. It is a must-visit for anyone interested in architecture, design, or American politics, and I highly recommend a visit to this...

I took the Rail Runner train up to Santa Fe, yesterday, for the first time for my hastily thrown together last minute planned day trip. I absolutely loved Santa Fe. And I do mean I loved it. New Mexicans should be proud to call a city like Santa Fe their capital. So, I started my day upon disembarking from the train sort of just stretching my legs and walking heading nowhere in particular. And voila! There's the Roundhouse right in front of me. I so loved my experience touring this beautiful state capitol. I had no idea that it held such a fantastic collection of art. I probably spent an hour just taking in all the amazing art. I went on to tour The New Mexico Museum of Art and they were both equally impressive. Best capitol I've ever visited outside of our nation's capitol. If you're visiting Santa Fe I completely recommend...
