I have been here maybe three or four times I've always gotten coffee or hot chocolate. They do have soy milk, which I am happy about. But my friend ordered a hot chocolate with soy and was given a hot chocolate with regular milk by mistake. This was easily exchanged. Meanwhile, at the same visit, I ordered a medium hot chocolate (with soy), and received a large (with soy). So there did not seem to be much attention to getting things right. Either that or there was a lot of miscommunication going on.
I noticed that both people in the kitchen were Hispanic, which is of course not uncommon, especially in Santa Fe. But one of these, who would call out the orders as they were ready at the counter, had such a thick accent and strange manner of speaking that it was almost impossible for the (mostly white) customers to tell what she was saying.
My other big complaint is that there are some large windows that let a lot of sun into the shop. This can be annoying (and hot) at times, as there is no awning. One window has a partial blind that covers about half the window. The other window has no blinds at all. Be careful where you sit or you might go home with an unexpected sunburn.
I wondered why some similar drinks were dispensed in paper cups and others in glassware. I was not asked if I had a preference. Paper seems wasteful.
I am vegan, and the menu is certainly not vegan, with few if any vegan food options. I don't really like this place. To me it is just another run-of-the-mill coffee shop. I only go here because it is in a convenient location and there seem to be few other options...
Read moreI went there with a friend for lunch. There was no line. There were a few people sitting at tables which appear to have already been served. My friend and I both ordered their sweet potato fries covered with red and green chili. After 35 minutes I went to inquire when we would be served. They started telling me all their kitchen problems; never got an answer to my question. Ten minutes later our food arrived. See the attached picture. See that red stuff? That is their red chili. I don't know if they were serious or if it was retribution for asking about the order status. My friend, who has had this dish several times before, noticed that there were raw onions. After the meal she nicely went to the cashier/waitress to mention that there had never been onions before. The waitress started arguing with her, telling her that it always had onions. I had been their once before and the service was again bad. If you go, go for the coffee. Do not...
Read moreI have never had this bad of an experience before. We got here around 1:25, we waited 15 minutes to order, while the man working was chatting with a young lady while making her coffee (didn’t bother to acknowledge us at all) Her card only had 3 CENTS on it, he let her leave without paying the remainder of her over $7 balance. We finally got to order at 1:40, we ordered 2 Very Berry smoothies. People came in after us and received their coffees rather quickly. (Yes, I understand smoothies are a little more time consuming than coffee to make.) We had to get up to remind the guy working cause he was too focused on everyone else’s orders, we finally received our smoothies at 1:55. Took a drink WORST SMOOTHIE I have ever had, It’s literally just milk and berries. I will not return here nor recommend...
