El Milagro Restaurant — Restaurant in Santa Fe

The food is fine, but you can do better. There is nothing special in a town that has better options. I tried a burger here years ago; it was OK but not worth the hype this place makes them out to be. You can find much, much better Green Chile cheeseburgers in town, such as Jambo Bite or Santa Fe Bite, and even The Ranch House up the street. So, during this visit with a group from the Santa Fe Foodies, I aimed to bypass a burger and go to New Mexican food. Three of us ordered the Enchilada Trio/Chrismas (red and green chile) with posole and Calabacitas as our sides. Everything was fine, and the food was good, but in Santa Fe, you can find vastly superior renditions of all of the above. Cafe Castro's up the street has much better red chile and enchiladas at about the same price. My wife had the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich; it was OK, too. The green chile on it was pretty good. The fries could have been great since they are thick and have the skins on, but they were soggy. Had they been fried correctly, they could have been great. Service was (like the food) OK, not the friendliest server, but efficient. In a town like Santa Fe, with exceptional New Mexican food and burgers, I can't recommend you go out of your way to go here unless you're really curious. It's fine, it's just OK, it's nothing...

Went in tonight with the family kinda big party, wasn’t too busy. The lady who served us was very nice and helpful. But the man who is the server was very rude and made a lot of comments to us. We ask the girl of that was the manager and she replied no he’s just a server and she was the Busser. Most of the group ordered and the rest came in after but we waited for a long time for food even for an appetizer. people came in after us and ate before and paid before us. After all of this we finally got our food, most of the Order not right. Food was good and truly appreciate the girl service to us. the one thing I didn’t agree with was that the tip was already added to bill even tho we spit it 5 ways. And being someone who works in this industry I have always been told we work for our tips, to be honest the man who supposedly was the server didn’t deserve that tip, as he was rude and didn’t help us. They may have the best burgers if you can get one! We waited over an hour for our order! We were the third table in there before the rush. Soon the restaurant filled up. One by one the other tables were getting their food. Our drink was empty and a waitress had not returned to our table since taking the order. We called out to a server and asked where our food was as everyone who came after us had their bill by this time. She checked with the cooks and assured us they had our ticket (table11) we waited longer and food still did not come to our table so we got up and left. No apology nothing. Although the server who took our order told her co worker “tell the cook but they are probably 1/2 way through cooking their order”. Half way through!!!! Hell they could have been finished with our order 7 times. Oh we were offered chips and queso for free after an hour of waiting.
