I have been to the one on Melrose, but this is my first time at the newly opened MDR location. It’s a casual breakfast restaurant, I would classify as no-frills and fast service. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you, it is not a sit down with full service sort of place. Parking is very easy because there is a large free parking lot right out front. Service is very fast so it is a good option if you are in a rush. The menu is not very large, but does have some solid options on it.
This is not this sort of place that will blow you away, but it definitely gets the job done. I would say it classifies more as good, not great, but I still enjoy it and plan to be back more times in the future because I live very close to this location. I started off with a vanilla and caramel latte, and I honestly really liked it. It was my favorite part of the meal and I would highly recommend ordering it. The flavors were well balanced, and it was pleasantly strong. For my meal I chose The Biscuit Benny and thought it was fairly good. The eggs were a bit bland and I wish the biscuit on the bottom would have been fluffier but overall it was still enjoyable. Wasn’t my favorite version I’ve had but definitely not the worst. I would recommend this place if you were in the area or searching for a really quick option...
Read moreI stumbled upon this small café while walking back to my hotel and I’m so glad I decided to stop in. It’s a cozy spot that serves breakfast and lunch, with both dine-in and carry-out options.
If you’re dining in like I did, you order at the register, get a number for your table, and they bring the food out to you. The service was excellent — several staff members checked in throughout the meal, so we never felt forgotten. You can tell the manager (possibly the owner) really takes pride in the place, and it shows in both the atmosphere and the service.
I had the croissan-wich — bacon, eggs, and cheese on a big, fresh croissant. What stood out was that the bacon was cooked into the eggs, not just layered on top like fast food. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes that were seasoned and perfectly cooked. My daughter had the pancake breakfast and said everything was cooked just right.
If you’re in the area, definitely stop by. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe — this café is...
Read moreFirst time visiting Fratelli’s this past Monday. It was the online pictures that drew us in you can say and they did not disappoint. I had the churro croissant which was delicious. The cream filling surprised me. But that was tasty too. Next, I had the “F-That” bagel sandwich and it was amazing. The bagel was toasted to perfection and the scrambled egg plus bacon pieces inside was a perfect ratio. But it was the Serrano sauce that took it to the top of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Not too spicy but enough to give it life. Then, those golden crispy nuggets of potatoes that were fluffy on the inside… so good. I’m going to return for seconds that’s for sure. The tables were just a little dirty when we got inside but it’s probably due to the fact that they’re just busy with happy customer traffic I’m sure. Thanks for the food and coffee...
