Just tried tonight and turned into one of my favorite spots. They have 4 locations, starting in shubuya, so it’s legit stuff out here. Try the first thing on the menu. Asahi beer too - whambo blamo combo if you ask me. Tight staff and one tv screen that shows high speed footage of people in Shibuya, you know that one intersection that a lot of people cross at. I remember I went a while ago and didn’t really get that feeling on the ground, like sure it was a bunch of people, but maybe I went at an off hour, where it was just some tourists and business men trying to get to their next location, I feel like 85 percent of them weren’t even thinking “damn this is the super famous cross that people speed up and put on TVs in Venice beach, but hey, when you’re getting to work or your family, last thing on your mind.
I think that has to do something with familiarity and novelty. When you do something, meet someone, visit somewhere for the first time, it always feels so exciting. Eventually it wears off, but I feel like life is all about reinvigorating these areas you onced love. If you loved something at one point in your life, it must be true to some extent. Your heart never forgets, you just need to remind it sometimes.
One thing is the egg could be a little more runny. And I like how they serve the beer in a frosted mug...
Read moreIve been avoiding writing a review about this place because they have Great Ramen and the place is always full of people who also think that Venice has Great Ramen....
The parking is not so great, minus a star, mind the homeless, the area has seen an influx in the already large population of homeless, its a sad suituation but maybe order an extra bowl for them. They will often bang on the window or scream into the restaurant.
The service isnt the best and they have forgotten parts of my order, minus one star. The place is ALWAYS PACKED so seating can be an issue and added wait time, minus one star... They dont cook their pork on site which is weird...but hey, did I mention the Ramen is great?
The Gyoza is awesome and very filling.
My goto is the spicy ramen with extra pork and fried onions on top. FREAKEN AMAZING.
Seriously there are a lot of things I think can be improved about this place but the bottom line is that they have some very legit and...
Read moreThis is small ramen bar that seats about 15-20 people at a time. The servers are nice and attentive to your needs. They will answers any question that you have regarding their menu. We ordered the fried chicken and Tonkotsu soy sauce Ramen. The fried chicken was near perfect! maybe one of the best that I've ever eaten. When you bite onto it you'll hear that perfect crunch and then BOOM a burst of pure juiciness and taste! As for the Tonkotsu soy sauce Ramen, we'll it was just meh i usually look for a more fatty pork chasu in my Ramen and they only offer the lean ones i think. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. So if you're looking for a great Ramen I'd say this might not be the place in my opinion but if you're looking for an excellent japanese style fried chicken then you've...
