Starbucks — Restaurant in Santa Monica

If I could rate this any lower than one star I would. This is not because of anything other than the childish and very rude actions of the manager. I had to use the restroom and I am a disabled individual whom was in a car accident not long ago leaving me with injuries that make it take a while to do what I need to. I had been in one of the two restrooms approximately 25 mins when a very rude customer began banging on the door and harrassing me saying "Get out! This isn't your house!!!!!". Within a minute or so another woman came to the door banging and telling me to come out. I replied that I was using the restroom and if they didn't stop I was going to get the manager at which point she replied "I am the manager!". I told her I am fine and explained my situation in front of all these customers whos seats were near the restroom (which I should not have had to do) to which she then replied "I don't care... You've been in there long enough, come out now or i'll call the police on you". At this point I am so extremely shaken up and embarrassed that I don't even want to leave the restroom. I exited and the manager had conveniently left the building. One worker apologized for her behaviour stating that no customer should ever be harrassed like that and gave me the district managers information. I contacted her and she deeply apologized, gave me a $50 gift card and stated that she will be having training sessions with the manager and staff about not harrassing customers who are using the restroom once you are sure that they are in no need of...

Just wanna give you an advice guys ao you can apply it in your work if you really care about serving others.

I went in and ordered Americano coffee and Croissant, i paid for it but no body asked me about name so he can call out my name whn order is ready and the guys wearing glasses when he handed the coffee to me just looked like someone very depressed and have an issue with himself or he hate others people, no smile, no face impressions just like “ heyyy take ur coffee and leave”. Believe me and take this advice from a middle eastern guy coz we know how to be nice to people and this is the first reason why all people around the world move to middle east, i came from Dubai and starbucks team over there are just so friendly and smiling all time to customers, you work as customer service so you gotta guys be good to people and little friendly, i know you may not being like that or hard to you but you gotta work on it, this is free advice so you either accept it or ignore it, but i’m surprised from Starbucks management how they didn’t tel their team something like that, even if you really don’t like people just act act and pretend you do like em, we are human being and leaving once and you should guys believe in humanity.

I went again today 26th and the one who handed the coffee is just weird, there is name on the cup and didn’t caller the name, in Middle east that’s called bullying and unrespectful.

This Starbucks is just right outside CVS where people pick up their meds and have free time to have a cup of coffee here by Santa Monica Blvd.

I have passed by it a number of times and this is my first time to step inside. It is same yet different from others. I like the height of the ceiling that makes it feel much bigger than it actually is. There is no clear sign of line, but people still form a line when there are more than 2. The energy is good here when they serve you and they have got the sandwich I always have liked and cannot get it from McDonald’s in the afternoon.

The seating is quite limited. And the design may want to use the big table to bring people together, however, it does not seem to work too well as people are busy for their own things either on the phone or laptop.

I have not tried the Wi-Fi here, but I assume it is good as I am seeing at least 4 laptops here for a long time and it does not see to have any issues at all.

The floor is not too clean due to heavy traffic and light rain outside. People may bring water and dust inside and they are too busy to clean it yet when I am there. But I have faith in Starbucks as I have not seen any branch that is too dirty to bear yet.

If you sit by the glass windows, you get to enjoy the street view and the change of the sun, I think this is the best part of sitting here with coffee as you can work on the laptop...
