Jamba — Restaurant in Santee

Stopped in this week looking for a cool-down during the recent warm weather. I ordered a PB Chocolate Love - one of my usual drinks. What I got instead was pretty much a bland banana smoothie with rare hints of peanut butter or chocolate. I also found large, unblended chunks of banana at the bottom of the cup. To make matters worse, I almost couldn't drink the smoothie because of the straw I was given. I'm not sure why other Jamba Juice locations in SD county can provide quality compostable faux-plastic straws yet the Santee location gives you a garbage cardboard straw that gets soggy and collapses on itself halfway through the drink. I went at opening one morning on a Tuesday and ordered an Acaí Bowl. I was second in line to receive my purchase when two other guests walk in and make orders, then another one comes in the pick up a ore-order from the app. The two baristas working started making the pre-order drinks first before making my bowl. I literally came in there while it was near empty, ordered a BOWL which is just them putting sliced fruit on a purée (not real acaí), and they didn't quickly serve me. My daughter is very picky and would not try anything on the menu. She decided that she wanted to "make her own smoothie" we went to the counter to order and they were so awesome about everything. They let her "make her own" with only the ingredients that she wanted (orange sherbet, Apple juice and bananas) and now she asks for that smoothie every time we go, instead of just her usual cup of ice. I really appreciate the extra distance they went with her to make sure that she got exactly what she wanted and she even named her smoothie "Lily's delight" because she was just so delighted they did...
