Wretched i don't go often but I've had a gift card, when I do go it's usually a bad experience but today was bad enough to complain. When I walked in the line ended at the door there were 14 people in front of me, it took more than 10 minutes and less than 15 minutes to order. There was one girl taking orders, 1 girl and there was one unsmiling face at the other register to the left where they take your money. Did I say 1 girl taking orders? There were two other women behind the counter with the one lady taking orders, they were putting together toasted or cooked orders. while i was standing in line for those 13 minutes I noticed those 2 ladies were just standing there quite often doing nothing but chatting. When I finally got close to the counter to order the lady in front of me ordered 3 dozen bagels the girl taking the order had to get that order (two other ladies just standing there) while the only order taker filling a 3 dozen order. I looked back and the line was out the door. Its not like this sometimes it's like this all the time but today just was over the top. No manager? Manager has no eyes? Manager is willfully ignorant? I went to this place for breakfast and asked if they had any dairy-free options. For reference, I have long hair and so I look like I’m trans. The old, short dude with white hair instantly snapped at me and said “No!” He didn't even try to find anything or ask anyone if there were dairy-free options. So i had to step out of line and ChatGPT if there were dairy-free options. Turns out like half the menu of bagels is dairy-free and they even have vegan options. So then I had to go back in the line and an older lady took my order and the employees changed their gloves and tried to avoid allergens for me. Then the dude wouldn’t even make eye contact with me the entire rest of the time I was in the store because he knew what he did was wrong and just didn’t care. Read morePlaced an online order and was told it would be ready in 15–20 minutes. I showed up around the 15-minute mark to check on it, and they said they were still working on it. I waited nearby, and a few minutes later noticed they were working on newer orders. When I asked again, the manager asked for my name, said she couldn’t find the order, and wondered if it was under a different name. I said no, they had just told me it was being made. Then an employee overheard, walked over, and grabbed my order from the pickup shelf and handed it to me. Why couldn't they just hand me my order when it was ready? There was zero communication and no coordination between staff.
To top it off, they got the order wrong. There were 7 employees plus a manager there, and they still couldn’t get a simple order right when it wasn’t even busy. Can’t imagine what it’s like when it is. Definitely not...
