Here for the first time to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I found this place by googling Best Seafood Restaurant in Sarasota. It is located in the Ritz Carleton Hotel which is situated right on the harbor with great views. Complimentary Valet parking was handy since there is no parking nearby. We were seated immediately outside with a nice view of the harbor. Our server Brooke made our experience we wonderful. The menu is limited but that is not necessarily a negative. We were waited on by a team of servers. I ordered a Negroni and my wife had a gin and tonic. We had the shrimp cocktail which I felt was not as fresh as it could be. I was expecting jumbo shrimp but they were average size. A highlight was the brown maple bread which came backed in a tin cake. Brooke served us explaining the origin of the bread and the name Jack Dusty. My wife had the mahi mahi which she said was delicious. I had the Red Snapper. It was a huge serving. I had filled up on the shrimp and bread. The bar looks like a good happy hour spot. Some people came just for drinks. Dress is casual. This will be a good place to bring company. Oh, my wife got her pick of desserts and the recipe for the bread. I’m

"Jack Dusty's at the Ritz Carlton in Miami exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped onto the outdoor patio overlooking the picturesque waterway, we were enveloped in an ambiance of luxury and tranquility. The gentle breeze, the soft glow of string lights, and the soothing sounds of the water created an unforgettable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The fish tacos were simply divine – perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. Each bite was a burst of freshness, with the fish perfectly complemented by vibrant salsa and crisp veggies. And the cocktails? Sublime. Expertly crafted and beautifully presented, they were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. But what truly sets Jack Dusty's apart is the impeccable service. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening or a memorable meal with friends, Jack Dusty's at the Ritz Carlton in Miami is the ultimate destination. Trust me, you won't be disappointed."

Ladies and Gentlemen! I am a fourth-generation classical musician and artist traveling the world, together with my family and my cello in hand. My beloved family, wife and children, we are locals and counting our blessings because we live here in our alluring jewel, beautiful Sarasota. We tried attending to lunch and dinner all three times, and for the last time. The five stars for atmosphere makes it all so very sad because of an international establishment orchestrating such a poor quality food and service. Once upon time in America, ‘Ritz Carlton’ could stand behind their prestigious establishment. It is still so when staying at the ‘Ritz Carlton’ in Europe, Asia and Latin-America. In Sarasota you find one star for food which is nothing but flattery, and one star for service, which our young kids do better at home. What a disappointment having to bring my family, colleagues and other guests here, only to enjoy fairly-made cocktails and a poor dessert menu. Award winning international classical concert cellist, recording artist and music pedagogue, Steve Kramer.

This restaurant is located in the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency just across the quay. We could see this restaurant from our room all week and decided to dine in there last night. We walked over and the approach to the Ritz is quite impressive. Once you walk inside, you realize you have stepped up to the next level. Very elegant lobby, and the reception area at Jack Dusty was equally elegant. We decided to sit outside. The view is spectacular looking back across the quay to the Hyatt Regency. April was our server and did a fantastic job. we started out with oysters and a bottle of wine. I had seen shrimp and grits on the menu online and couldn’t wait to try it. It blew away all my expectations. Again, this restaurant is at another level. The desert, and after dinner drink. We’re also a fantastic. They have a nice selection of rum, scotch and other liquor. We had a very expected celebrity sighting as well. All this made for a very magical night.

Enjoyed the sunset while solo dining on the patio. I started with the Ceviche which came with fried plantain chips. For the entree they had a special Halibut special. I really really really wanted to eat the whole plate but I also really really really wanted dessert. There was some confusion at the end whether I was done completely or needed a togo box but thankfully everything worked out. However, Jen my waitress, is amazing and everything worked out in the end!!! By the way for desert I had the key lime tart, similar to the dishes prior, it was an amazing way to end the night. Side note: I had 4-5 different employees bring items to the table throughout the night. Everyone addressed me as "Mr. Myers", I am a younger guy so I always tell them to just call me Matt, Matthew, or Mateo. But it showed their ability to communicate behind the scenes, work in unison, and deliver great experiences to customers.
