I had to give it a one star . It’s an absolute beautiful and family fun park . I do recommend putting up some kind of sighn that states that the park was closed. My people ,I was walking down and didn’t notice a sighn saying the park was closed or hours . if there it wasn’t really lit up for travelers randomly want to take a stroll for being coped up in a hotel Voco . Here’s My experience .I worked 3 weeks stright.went to bed really early and decided to walk about 2 am . as I cross the street from my hotel and got to the end of the park .I heard a loud speaker in the distance saying the park is closed and the cops are being called . Freaked me out ! Lol I was like what happened.I figured they might be talking to me. So I left took some pictures just to give you an idea where they can be placed .So if you can I don’t know how many come to Sarasota but if you come here let some one know that the park is closed. Or mabee I should googled your park first lol but yeah please if you can put a physical sighn saying it’s closed just saying my 2 cents.

My family and I are incredibly grateful to have this beautiful park available to the public. There are indoor buildings where you can view art, venture into the welcome center, the manipal auditorium, and the library. Outside, you can explore the butterfly garden, the shaded pathways and bridges, and make your way to the kayak launch. Beyond that is an open field with a stage where live bands come to play. There is a cute children's playground and sitting areas by the water. This park is dog friendly (leashed) and very family friendly. Just make sure you clean up after your pets and leave the park the way you found it. ✌️ There are garbage and recycling bins located throughout the park and water fountains for people and pets.

Nice park located between the Hyatt and Van Wezel. Small playground, nice walking trails (for dogs too), and chairs with a great view of Sarasota Bay. They have the nicest restrooms for a park, I’ve ever seen. There is a small walk-up concession window, with basic drinks and food. They have free concerts, free outdoor movie nights, free kayak tours, and free workouts as well. Best to park at the Van Wezel. There is parking on the Blvd. of the Arts, which is much closer, but space is limited and usually full.

Our grandkids are going to like this. Great for climbing but no traditional playground "rides", like swings. Small sandy beach is part of the complex. It advertises restrooms and an eatery but we did not check them out. Great for dog walkers with plenty of trash cans and doggie waste bags. Wonderful wooden benches. Parking for bikes. Good path for walking. YOU can even rent or launch a kayak from here. Parking hard to find so get there early.

Wonderful new park a five minute walk from town center with a small cafe and an outdoor big screen TV. Arena, lawn and table seating. Football game is on now. Movies in the evening. Oppenheimer is playing this week so the movies are newer releases. There are often live bands during the day. Nice trails and boardwalks for a 30/40 minute walk. Kayaks available for rental. Playground and very clean rest rooms. Highly recommended.

The Bay Park project. Very nice walkway. Concession stand for lunch and breakfast. Kayak rentals. Beach with chairs. Playground. Nice restrooms. Digital display showing upcoming events. Mangrove walking paths. Bench swing. Path walkway to Van Wezel building. Currently showing March Madness on the big screen! They have been reducing parking spots which makes it difficult to find parking.
