We came for the ice cream but we stayed for the lovely company. What a wonderful family! Wishing all the best things for you in life... Success, healthy kids, a community that is as welcoming & good hearted as you are! It was a pleasure to meet such beautiful humans & the ice cream was a bonus. While eating I was greeted by the most thoughtful, helpful, considerate, well mannered and happy children. Lily and Lawrence you're AWESOME! You gotta know when kids turn out this great they are well loved & guided by amazing parents!
Ruby wouldn't serve you anything that she wouldn't give to her own kids, &that says a lot. We all want whats best for our children don't we? At least you should! FIVE INGREDIENTS. All natural. No chemicals, dyes or processed junk. They can sleep well at night knowing they aren't hurting anyone which is more than I can say for most businesses who only care about money & don't give a rats patootie about you.
I love this town so much! Continued to be pleasantly surprised by every new person I met. This family topped the cake though! It breaks my heart to know there are hateful Karens out there choosing to cut good people down instead of choosing love, kindness & the support we should be giving one another in a small town where it's not just common decency but essential that you help each other when you can. What good comes from spreading lies & gossip with your gaggle of gremlins. Get a life Karen, & a hobby...find something more meaningful to do with your time than a sad attempt to break other ppl. Its hard enough getting your own business to grow & survive without having to be the new ppl and then deal with your drama. This honest & good hearted family needs kindness & support. We could all do without your bitterness. Whether you like their product or not, your ugly attitude needs to go. You should all be ashamed of yourselves and you know exactly who you are. There must be something terribly sad going on in your life for you to have misplaced your anger on such an amazing hard working family. I hope you find the root of what causes your need to put others down& stop hating on such LOVELY people. They are hands...
Read moreI'm a single mother in my 50s. Unfortunately Lollypops (the ice cream establishment we all love and remember for many decades) is no more. It is now owned by a new couple (man and wife) who, although friendly, are not living up to the history and tradition of Lollypops.
The ice cream is now home-made, but the richness, consistency, and flavor of a number of items is lacking and the ice cream is not as satisfying as before. More strangely, Lollypops under the new owners does not have nor make nor provide ANY toppings for their ice cream (no chocolate sauce, no caramel sauce, and no butterscotch, etc.) The owner is adamant that keeping the ingredients natural is the requirement, but even so where is the sauce? It doesn't exist--very important if you want to make a sundae or a banana split. Basically the new menu is a few sandwich lunch items, with a max of 7 ice personally-made ice cream flavors.
The atmosphere of the place is very run down, not well lit, and somewhat depressing, and little effort was made to make the interior warm and inviting like in the past. A lot of the old and nostalgic 40s soda fountain art and Americana memorabilia has been removed, and every time I have visited nobody is inside eating ice cream (especially like in the Lollypops of old.) Even if there is someone eating ice cream there, it is likely one or two people max--the place is not usually busy.
I hope the new owners recognize that the townspeople miss and love the old lollypops and this rendition and new manifestation is not a good vibe. Sadly, I won't likely be back but I hope the new owners do well and consider...
Read moreDo NOT recommend! I will never go back under the current ownership! Here was my experience today!
#1 - Their order was 2 cones (one with 1 scoop and one with 2 scoops) that equalled $13!
#2 - They both told me there was a funky film being left in their mouth and on the roof of their mouth (so of course I tried it) they weren’t wrong and it tasted granulated.
I decided to take the icecream back to talk to the owner. I was greeted in an unfriendly way and as I was explaining the issues I was confronted with less than friendly people. Customer service 101 - to apologize for any issue at hand. The only thing stated was “well that’s the 1st time we’ve ever heard of this” I went on to describe the film left in your mouth and the excuse was “that’s fat and very keto friendly” I said “That is not the case, I’m very knowledgeable on keto and that’s not true”
I left frustrated that we have a company in the community now that is not customer service driven, with a less than desireable product and filled with excuses!
These are my opinions of course and it takes a lot for me to take my time that I don’t have much of to write a bad review! I will continue to stand up for what is right and know where our money will be spent and that is with quality companies who focus on great customer service and delivering a...
