Ah, Coldstone. The land of creamy dreams and… occasional digestive surprises?
Let me start by saying, the ice cream here is actually really good. Tons of flavors to choose from—well, not too many, but just enough so you don’t have a breakdown trying to pick. Plus, the toppings are on point. Whether you’re into gummy bears or pretending to be healthy with strawberries, they’ve got you covered.
The service? Pretty solid. The staff is nice, but there’s usually like… one person working the entire store. One poor soul scooping, ringing people up, singing birthday songs, and probably curing diseases in the back. Multitasking kings and queens.
Now, I do have to bring up one small incident. Just a minor hiccup. One time, a cashier farted directly on my ice cream cone. I wish I was kidding. Just full-on toot-to-cone action. I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or call a priest. Like—what the actual hell?
Another fun thing: whenever I walk in, it’s totally empty. Ghost town. I blink, and suddenly there’s a line out the door like they’re giving out free Teslas. I don’t understand the science, but it’s impressive.
The place itself is nice, though. Plenty of spots to sit and reflect on your life choices, like whether you should’ve gotten the waffle bowl (you should’ve).
All in all, Coldstone is great—just keep an eye (and a nose)...
Read moreThis past Sunday I stopped by Stone Cold to get a "Dough for It" ice cream in a bowl. First, the young lady asked me what I wanted to my "Dough for It" ice cream. I said I would like to add cherries, whipped cream and caramel. She then proceeded to scoop what looked like vanilla ice cream. I noticed her mixing the cherries and caramel with the vanilla ice cream. I look at the menu and I reread where it says the "Dough For It" includes:
Ingredients: Classic Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Chocolate Chips, Cookie Dough and Sugar Crystals
She has only mixed the additional toppings: the cherries and the caramel. None of the ingredients it came with were added. I ask about the missing ingredients.
She then pours the mixture out of the bowl and back on the slab to mix in the ingredients she forgot. she puts it back into the bowl. I mention how watery it is (see picture), so she "double bowls" it. I paid nearly $10 dollars for a milkshake in a bowl. The young lady didn't mix anything well so there were extremely large cookie dough chunks n the mixture. It...
Read moreWe went yesterday, January 16, at around 3pm. From the time we entered until well after we were served (we sat outside to enjoy the ice cream), there was a constant stream of customers. The gentleman working was patient, polite, and quick to complete orders. He was alone too, which made it that much more impressive, given he must have served at least 2 dozen customers in a short timeframe. Kudos to him for being such an obviously...
