This place is a DUMP! We stayed for 2 nights, we chose this hotel bc it was within 10 min of where we needed to be for Memorial Day weekend. We chose something mid priced. The pictures online do NOT portray what you are getting. The parking lot itself is a wreck. As soon as we pulled in started unloading our car, 2 females in the parking lot are screaming at each other, there’s random men creeping around the parking lot and hallways. The hallways smell of pee, cigarettes and weed. Trash and beer bottles in the hallways, trash cans so full that it has trash next to it all over the ground around it. Graffiti throughout the halls. There’s piles of cigarette butts by doors. People sitting in lawn chairs in their doorways smoking. Groups of men drinking beer huddled in corners. We get to our non smoking room, it reeks, it’s absolutely disgusting, not sure if they even cleaned it, took plenty of photos as proof. Hairs all over the bathroom floor, bottom of shower filthy, soap dishes in shower filthy, soap scum on shower walls filthy… the toilet hinges still had pee and god knows what caked on, the faucet was disgusting, there was a left over finger nail clipping next to our sink, you couldn’t choose if you wanted hot or cold water since the faucet handle just spun in circles. The sheets and comforter had cigarette holes burned into them, the carpets were filthy, the mirror had god knows what on it, the tv had sticky residue all over it. People at the pool blaring vulgar music (so much for family friendly) people using the pool fence as their own personal laundry line to dry their wet laundry, young children in the pool with no one watching them..pool closes at 9pm groups of people at 10:30pm screaming and yelling with music blasting.. what I can hope was a firework being shot off what seemed like right outside our door at 11pm… drunk people staggering around the parking lot going through dumpsters. We wake up on our check out day.. the carpet is soaked from the ac unit which barely worked in the first place. I went to let the desk know, I walked into the lobby, no one in line… lady at the desk looking down at a piece of paper, I stand there for a bit waiting to be greeted, she then holds the piece of paper up right in front of me (as if to block me) and keeps it there awkwardly for a bit.. then finally puts the paper down and STARES AT ME… blinking her huge eyelashes at me and cocks her head…. no greeting, no good morning.. no how can I help you.. stares at me until I speak and tell her the issue, her response ā€œwell maintenance doesn’t get here until 9amā€ not I’m sorry, not I’ll get the taken care of…. We were checking out that day so I could care less about the soaking wet carpet but she should have… and to have your lobby staff treat your paying customers with such disregard and disrespect is completely insane. I could have complained to her about everything listed above but I knew it would fall upon deaf ears. She should not be the 1st face greeting your customers and she shouldn’t be in customer service at all.. she was a JOKE. As we are packing our car to get out of this hell hole there’s yet again creepy people lurking around, a man throwing up in the parking lot. If I could rate this a negative I would. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS DUMPSTER FIRE AS YOU CAN. Especially if you have kids with you. It’s completely unsafe and unsanitary and should be shut down.

Likes: Breakfast- bacon, waffles, eggs (not so good), grits packets, muffins (not good), breads (not soft), various flavors of Yoplait, fruit (banana or orange), condiments (jellies, peanut butter, cream cheese). There's a microwave and toaster. There's a water dispenser for hot and cold, but it only dispensed cold water. I didn't understand having cream cheese but no bagels. All the juices were NASTY AND TASTED HORRIBLE. Had to use the lobby coffee set up because the one in the breakfast area didn't work. The lady in the breakfast room worked alone but swiftly and kept the area as tidy as she could. The convenience of having a fridge and microwave. Nice TV. Free parking. Ease of check-in. The location was nice because it's central to & not far from various tourists sites, near a lot of restaurants and not far from Tybee Island nor downtown. There's general shopping and grocery stores nearby also. THE GSR THAT CHECKED US IN ON THE 15th WAS SO NICE AND AWESOME!!! I showed her the pics I took, and she understood me being upset. She tried to find us another room, but it was booked. (I was in town to see Josh Johnson. AND it was St. Patrick's Day weekend which I had not thought about which also explained the high rate.) The exercise room looked decent and tidy from the outside. I didn't go in... only saw it in passing. This has nothing to do with the hotel but: There were no loud guests. From the looks of the parking lot, I just knew it might get audibly uncomfortable, especially being St. Patrick's Day weekend, but it was quiet. There's a nice local diner in walking distance... less than five minutes. Tasty food and wonderful staff with huge portions. Dislikes: THE CLEANLINESS OF THE ROOM AND EXTERIOR. I have more pictures, but could only post four. The older guy that was sent up to clean the bathroom again laughed at me being upset and acted like it was no big deal. He cleaned with no gloves and a dirty rag. I just cleaned as best as I could after he left with the cleaning products I happened to have with me. I was so peeved, but I had to go ahead and get ready for the show. Outside of the first GSR and the breakfast attendants, CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKED. They have a pool, but it was locked off. It didn't look clean enough to be in though. Other issues with the room- phone nasty, hair dryer had what looked like dried blood, brown ring in the toilet, some black stain the staff said was a black scratch on the toilet seat, hair on the floor in the bathroom and shower wall, rusted tissue holder, dirty ice machine, dirty ironing board, nasty stains on ALL the chairs... Although on a budget, cleanliness and courtesy is at the very least expected because customers/guests keep the business going.

LOW QUALITY INN should be the name of this place. One of the MOST DISGUSTING places I've ever stayed. Based off mixed reviews we decided to try it out. Of course the pictures online make it look like a 5 star hotel but that was the exact opposite of what this place was. We walked into the smell of cigarette smoke, in a non-smoking room. Sheets that were stained beyond belief. What looked to be blood on the ceiling. The outlets and hairdryer were torn off the wall and laying on the counter and on the wall where they should have been was MOLD! It smelt awful. The bathroom was horrid. Hair and god knows what else in the tub...to the point even my own child refused to shower in there. The lock at the top of the main door didn't even have a hook to keep it latched. The outlets in the room didn't work, or you had to hold it in a certain spot because they were loose! The carpets had a nasty odor. The lamp shades had mold and rust growing. And don't get me started on the bugs! Honestly they should be paying people to stay there. When I spoke with thr manager, she was disrespectful and okay with how I stated the places was. Asked if I mentioned anything to the workers and when I said I did, and she didn't see the "notes" they put in on the matter, she took the staffs side and said there is nothing she could do. The night I said something the lady said there were no other rooms and at 10 pm where else were we to go?? We had to stay at least that night. And since we stayed any refund was void. Even though they should be embarrassed to even have their place up and running. NEVER. AND I MEAN NEVER, stay here if you have any kind of care for your well being, your health, or your sanity. You're better off going to the nearest shelter and staying.

Disclaimer: I booked in advance so this may be different if you do not.

Service: Normal, the guy that check us out was nice, I didn’t check us in so I don’t know the check in details

General: The non-smoking rooms still had the scent of weed, there were cameras, a pool (it’s open till 9:00 pm and when I was there it looked clean and open but I didn’t go in because I didn’t stay for long), breakfast starts at 6 am-9 am.

Breakfast: there were 4 drink choices- orange juice, apple juice, strawberry kiwi enchanted water, and cranberry cocktail. The apple juice was very apple scented/taste, didn’t try any other drink. The bacon was mid (the sizes weren’t big and it was kinda soggy not crispy). There was whole milk and 2 percent milk for the cereal. You could make waffles (use the cup on top of the waffle batter machine to put the batter in). There were condiments (i.e., butter, honey, jam, cream cheese, etc.), and there was bread you could put the condiments on.

Room: Room 433- clean but not super clean better than the reviews say, but there were some stains on the chair and slight ones on the bed. The ones on the chair look like makeup stains, and I’m not sure what the ones on the bed were (possibly coffee?). The room had a popcorn ceiling and not a super modern look to it (I will include some pictures of the hotel room). Hotel room comes with amenities such as coffee machine (although I don’t advise you use it it’s not the cleanest), a bar of soap, a bible, working lamps, outlets (although the ones that are just USB don’t work), drawers (but they don’t work well), mirrors (clean), hair dryer, towels, a bathroom, a separate sink outside the bathroom with a mirror (vanity), hangers, a fridge (it was good temp not too hot not too cold), a microwave (I didn’t use it so I don’t know whether or not it worked), a desk (w/ chair), windows had curtains, a AC (it was a floor AC and also made noise it wasn’t per se loud, kinda soft sounding actually), fire detector (I have no idea if it works do not rely on my knowledge of fire detectors, just know there is one installed). Bathroom wasn’t super clean (had some stains on walls/door). Wi-Fi is slow. Did smell slightly of weed but we booked a no-smoking room. The tap water at the vanity table smells slightly of sulfur/swamp. The vanity table comes with a hair dryer, mirror, a bar of soap, and on the side is hangers. The bathroom comes with towels, a toilet, shampoo, conditioner, shower/tub, and a bar of soap. The floors weren’t clean, and they were carpeted as well. I would not recommend this hotel to people with kids that still need to crawl on the floor and recommend bringing shower shoes/slippers/flip flops so you can walk around the room/shower without dirtying your feet. No bedbugs were found, beds/pillows looked clean, and no bugs in the room. 2 Beds, both are full size w/ 3 pillows on each bed. Very safe vibe, no blood, didn’t feel haunted, no mental breakdown/hallucination...
