UPDATE!!!!!!
Responding to Tyler's response to my review. We were unaware that in order to sit at the bar we had to wait to be sat. Yes, the hostess was gracious enough to take care of us until the waitress arrived, who by the way arrived an hour late for her shift. After a few minutes of sitting down, we did ask the bar tender if she could put it on a certain game for us and she did. However, with 9 minutes left in the fourth quarter of the football game we were watching, the bartender turned around and put majority of the channels on the basketball game. I'd like to say that this was not her fault however, it is her fault because she has no idea how to run the TV system and neither does any of the staff. We sat and watched the bartender and several weight staff try to figure out how to use the television programming system on the wall and none of them could figure it out for 7 minutes. Yup, we timed how long it took them to get our game back on and 7 minutes went by. Again, we were not the only people in the bar watching a football game and all of a sudden our games were gone off the TV. We counted 4 waitresses plus a hostess working that night. There were 4 tables in the bar area with one waitress and clearly she could not handle her tables. Every person who sat at a table in the bar area was complaining very loudly at how horrible the waitress was. As a customer, I feel that the owners response to my review is very childish. To the owner, rather than condoning the horrible waitstaff and the lack of knowledge your team has and how to run the TV systems, you should be apologizing to me for what me, my husband and all the other patrons who were in the bar expecting to watch sports games and have a few drinks had to go through.
Where to begin. Went here on a Sunday....football Sunday. They have a new expansion..a sports bar...ha! Came in at 4:30 and no one sat us so we just sat ourselves. 3 tables in the entire place and it took 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. 14 tvs in the so called sports bar and no one who works here on a SUNDAY...during football season. Ok so appetizer we ordered...horrible. Yes this place is known for their pizza and yes the pizza is still yummy. Wait staff was well on a scale of 1-10... a minus 1. They recently did an expansion and calling it a sports bar....well act like a sports bar! Your bar tender and wait staff don't even know how to run the televisions. There were numerous people in the bar when we were there that were so angry that the games they wanted to see were not even playing because staff didn't know how to put them on the televisions. Several televisions show the same game which is just ridiculous. When we ordered a pizza to sit and watch a football game, they put our pizza in a to-go box and asked us if we are ready for our check when we still had full beers. You wanna make money for you're so called sports bar, hire better wait staff and better...
Read moreFor starters the food was amazing and the portions are large, so they are worth the price in my opinion. The guy who took my order was amazing and friendly and answerd my questions needed before ordering and was kind enough to throw in extra sour cream and salsa at no extra charge he said when I noted that the last few times I've ordered they forgot the calzone sauce (which is what I ordered plus the nachos). The lady who cashed me out was amazing, super friendly/kind and communtive as well.
I wanted to give all stars despite (and here's the minor negative part) that even though I received extra sour cream and salsa, they forgot the calzones sauce again /the extra 2 I asked for and was willing to pay for 😭 ( not a big deal just had to walk and pay $6 at my local Italian shop 5 minutes before they closed but they don't do calzones which is why I love pats as I was already home 20 minutes away instead of driving back getting what I assume comes with it (if any) plus the extra for $1.50 each. I will say upon eating the calzone I started to think it didn't even need sauce that's how good it was, I do like it for the outside dough and crust however.
The other very minor negative is (this is semi my fault ) when I was done ordering I forgot to ask they guy for the total, I called RIGHT back after hanging up and even blamed myself and the young girl said "yeah idk and the 1 register is being used" and left it at that not offering to retrieve it or something of that nature when register was open or calling back etc. (This was only problematic because my bank card was compromised over the weekend and it was a Sunday so I couldn't get a new one until the next day and only had so much cash on hand ( I was still a little short of cost anyways with cash) and had to use a friends card instead , but with not knowing the total before just made it harder to even know that before I arrived (but again not the end of the world).
Bottom line = GREAT FOOD , GREAT PEOPLE , GOOD PRICE . Lastly, great atmosphere and fun/ hard working people that are staffed there. I don't care what other reviews /people say, this is my favorite Pats pizza and always willing to drive to this one over other locations and most Italian places in general. ( Oh and their Pat's bottled cream soda...
Read moreI've always really enjoyed eating at this Pat's Pizza in Scarborough, but there was some surprises in store when I tried the nice new building. First, it's too small for the number of sit-down tables, we barely had room between us and the tables around us. Then I ordered from the "Hot Subs and Sandwiches" portion of the menu. My favorite sandwich for years here, the Reuben. When it came to the table I was very surprised to see a sub roll with burned cheese on top. I said to my server that I got the wrong sandwich, she said no that's the Reuben. Well I said a Reuben is a sandwich with everything inside, the servers informed me that I have to request that sandwich specifically. Well when I see Reuben on the menu there's precisely one sandwich that's the same around the world, corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing on rye. Which is the exact sandwich I've been getting at Pat's for years. What I got was pastrami, a bit of sauerkraut, almost no dressing, and overcooked provolone on a sub roll. The only ingredients in that sandwich that were even close to a Reuben was the sauerkraut and Thousand Island. So if you're looking for a real Reuben, make sure you know the secret code and don't expect corned beef. Also my mother ordered a mini pizza that had a thick soggy crust and very unappealing. I hope the quality of the food, preparation, and overall dining experience improves with the growing pains of the...
