I recently had the pleasure of dining at Far Rosie’s and I can't express enough how outstanding my experience was. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Here's why I'm giving this taco bar a solid 5-star review:

Fat Rosie’s is nothing short of an entertaining fiesta packed night. We went on a Friday night and they had a live band playing festive songs. They also had a lady going around to tables taking pictures and handing out colorful sombreros. The food was outstanding and authentic to Mexican roots. We had guac & warm chips, chicken fajitas, Paella, Steak Salad, and Chicken Mole Enchiladas. We even had desert of the sundae, fresh made warm churros and Mexican coffee. Everything was generously portioned, flavorful and plated nicely. All staff members were friendly and very helpful if you needed anything at your table. Our waiter Antonio was super friendly and very enjoyable to talk with. He made sure everything was to our complete satisfaction. The salsa with their rustic chips was so delicious. It’s one of the best salsas we’ve had in a very long time. It was unique as it had a smoky roasted flavor combined with not only onion but tomato, fresh cilantro and very mild green chili. You could see all the veggies in it and the flavor was the best! I ordered the Enchilada mole negro platter. Generous amount of chicken, the tortillas tasted super fresh and the mole sauce is some of the best in the area! My husband ordered chicken Enchiladas Rojas which was excellent too. Everything tastes likes it’s made in-house daily and super fresh! To end a great meal we ordered the sloppy sundae which didn’t disappoint. There were fresh made warm churros sticking up out of the glass and a huge amount of premium chocolate and vanilla ice creams. It was a lot of fun as they had someone going around taking table photos and another person going to tables with fake drinks and then pretending to spill them. The reaction on the faces of some people was hilarious. They have an extended huge selection of tequilas and plenty of food choices. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my friend and was seated right away. Our waiter came shortly after and was very nice. He did things quickly and was attentive to our needs. The ambiance was nice and I enjoyed the music they were playing, however, I have also been to the Lincolnshire location and i do enjoy their interior a bit more because of the way it's set up. Regardless, what matters most is the food which was better than i expected.

We ordered a cucumber and a mandarin margarita to start which were both delicious. You can't taste the tequila but you will be feeling it by the end! The drinks here are great. As for the food, we went for some shareable dishes since we wanted a light lunch. We got the sampler, beef empanadas, and a chicken taco. The chicken taco was decent and what you'd expect of a taco but the prices are pretty high for just one; especially considering you don't get rice or beans on the side. One taco can go anywhere between $4-$8. The sampler is $7 per person and well worth it since you get a sope, quesadilla, quac, and tostada with ceviche. The sope was so good and I'm not even a mole fan. The ceviche is worth ordering on its own. The quesadilla was unconventional but my taste buds were dancing. The quac was quac - fresh. Lastly, after having such good bites, the beef empanadas honestly let me down a bit. I didn't like the ground meat as much and the flavors weren't really there. I'd order the other foods on their own but pass on the empanadas for next time.

Overall, this is a great Mexican restaurant for lunch or dinner. I'd even celebrate a birthday party here as they look to go pretty extra with the table service. The restaurant is fun, the drinks are great, and the food is tasty....
