I would best describe the place as a Chipotle style restaurant that serves bibimbap instead of burritos. The place equally as quiet as a Chipotle as the majority of people here get take out. However, the food was less than spectacular. I am not sure if it is my choice of tastes and under estimating my heat tolerance or people in this area like more heat than other places? A complete break down of my meal is as follows:
The good:
Portions are large. If you're a big eater, you'll get your fill, I could only finish just over half before I was full.
Japchae, tofu were well cooked. I think others might find them bland, but I prefer this since any sauce will add the necessary salt or flavour enhancement.
The fresh chopped carrots and red cabbage. Crispy and light. Good, but also the amount of work to achieve this is relatively minimal and easy to accomplish.
The neutral: I added corn and kale out of curiosity. The corn was crunchier than what you would get at a matching Chipotle. They also were not sweet like chipotle. So depending on your preference that could be good or bad. It was mostly a meh type of feeling. The kale is flavoured with excessive sesame oil, thusost of what you will taste is the oil, and a bit of kale. Also the kale looked to fall apart on its own. Not sure if that's a good thing? I basically ate it like a filler.
The bad: I normally get gochujang on my bibimbap, so I did this time. It was waaaay hotter than any other I have had.
Kimchi and any other pickled items (turnip and cabbage) were really terrible. All I could taste was vinegar which was a huge turn off, maybe it's a bad or old batch from the supplier. But it was probably the worst I have had.
Between the good and the bad, I would probably come back here again, but I'd be more careful with what I...
Read moreBibibop is always a fantastic experience, but my recent visit was truly exceptional, thanks to their incredible staff, especially Elias. From the moment I walked in, his amazing energy and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a great meal. Elias greeted me with a warm smile and confidence which intern helped me navigate the menu with thoughtful suggestions, and ensured that everything was perfect. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction made the visit unforgettable. The ambiance at Bibibop is equally inviting--clean, vibrant, and welcoming, which makes it the perfect spot to relax after a workout. The Korean BBQ bowl I ordered was absolutely delicious! The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. Their emphasis on healthy, high-quality ingredients is something I truly appreciate.
It's no surprise that Bibibop has become a go-to spot for our entire team from LA Fitness, which is conveniently located next door. We're drawn here not just by the amazing food but also by the top-notch service that Elias and the rest of the staff consistently deliver. If you're looking for a place that combines healthy food, great service, and a positive atmosphere, Bibibop is it! Highly...
Read moreI was standing in line with only three people ahead of me. The one person ordering was taking his sweet time deciding on what toppings he wanted... 4 employees were standing around and the one employee left the female in charge to continue with his order. For one person, it took 5 min long. As soon as that customer left, one of two customers standing in front of me was speaking loudly on his phone about the order. At that point, I knew this was going to be forever. The other employee could have helped to pitch in if this was going to be basically a catering order. Not only that, the female employee was moving extremely slow and looked like she hated her job. The customer in front of me on the phone was speaking almost spitting loudly over the barrier near the food. It was so disgusting. That was when my friend and I left because it was slow and unsanitary. This company needs to be more like Chipotle where they have several employees working the register and packaging the food. This helps move the line fast and since it was near closing time. Also, you guys need to have a higher glass barrier or tell the customers not to stand over the glass...
