My family with some friends, decided to go to Giordano's here in Schaumburg for a cheer competition. I was sadly disappointed in how this dinner ended up. The waitress at the front said that it would take around 30-45min which is expected on a Saturday night at 6 near Chicago. After waiting for longer an hour, I was surprised to see the number of tables that were available. I looked and saw over 11 tables open, with half not cleaned up yet. Many of the people waiting could’ve been seated if the waiters would’ve clean the tables up. It was apparent to me that they were just to lazy to take the time to open up more tables on a night when many people where at the restaurant. Messed up!
We sat down and were starving to eat because of how long the wait times took. We sat at our table for 20 minutes just to wait to order our drinks. Luckily, the drinks came in less than 10 minutes. Praise the lord! Shortly after getting our drinks, we ordered our food which consisted of 4 pizzas, and 3 salads. We were aware of the wait times for the pizzas, so we expected it to be a little time. I would say that we sat there for around a good hour before we got any other word from our waiter. An hour and 10 minutes after we ordered our food, we FINALLY got our pizzas. We were laughing at how long the salads were taking. 30 minutes after we got our pizzas, the salads finally roll out. Hallelujah! The reality of these wait times were that was it worth it? Nooooo! The pizzas were OKAY, but nothing special. The salads were OK, you’ll see why later. Lastly, does it really take an hour and 40 minutes to make 3 salads? I sure hope not, or this world has a lot of problems.
Hair Salad? Have you ever heard of it? Unfortunately, we did! While eating our salads that we had waited a long time for, we discovered a hair sitting in my salad. This was utterly disgusting and everyone working at this joint should be ashamed. No business should be known to have hair in their food. At this point, we were just done. I don’t know who’s hair it was, but this restaurant should make better strides to stop hair getting in peoples’ food, not only because it builds a bad reputation, but is disgusting especially if it gets in your mouth. I was always remember Giordano's for this and be a major consideration in thinking of where to eat.
Lastly, I was dining alongside all girls and I was the only boy. Obviously my server did not pay close attention to the table because he continued to say, “How is your food ladies,” and “How is your salads ladies.”This didn’t really bother me, just the lack of attention, and level of service we now know this restaurant has. If a server can’t know what his table is, then they shouldn’t be a server at all.
To end, this was all a true story and not distorted. I did not come to this restaurant just to trash it, just to spread the word of this dining experience. I do not blame one person, but blame the restaurant itself for the employees they have hired. For example, the server could not help the food being late, but could’ve paid better attention to the customers. In conclusion, people can have their own opinion on Giordano’s, and I don’t know how it may be at other restaurants, but I was highly disappoint with this awful dining experience. What a...

Thanks to Jim K (General Manager) for reaching out to us and explaining what happened the night mentioned in my previous post. Staff call-in's are very difficult to plan for and react to. We appreciate the concern shown by the General Manager and staff and the return invite we have been given. We will definitely return since hearing how great the pizza is at the Giordano's chain. Thanks to Giordano's for your concern for customer satisfaction.
ORIGINAL REVIEW My significant other and I visited Giordano's in Schaumburg IL the evening of Saturday 2-9-2019. We are from out of town and after a long day of driving and attending the Chicago Auto Show were looking forward to a "supposed" great pizza and some time relaxing. Unfortunately we got neither when we stopped here. The first minor problem was the 20 minute wait to be seated but we found 2 seats at the bar and ordered a beer each and paid for them at the bar. After we were seated and ordered a thin crust pizza we were told there would POSSIBLY be a 40 minute wait. We weren't happy about that since most pizza places we had been too never take more than 20 minutes but tried to understand since it was a Saturday evening. All the time we waited we NEVER saw one pizza delivered to any of the tables around us. NOT ONE in over an hour! A lot of those folks were also becoming very upset with at least 2 groups getting up and leaving. After 1 hour and 10 minutes of waiting we decided to do the same and waived the server over to let her know. She asked if we wanted to see the Manager and I asked if that would do any good with no reply from her. She went back into the kitchen area, returned and told us our pizza was not even in the oven yet. I told her we understood it was NOT her fault but having to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes for a thin crust pizza was totally ridiculous. We then left and will never go back to Giordano's since this was our second bad experience.....the first was with another of their restaurants. Please understand we are NOT habitual gripers about food establishments but this experience was totally out of line and there has to be some type of major issues that need to be addressed...
Read moreI placed a order for a medium pizza with uber eats online. So when my pizza arrived I noticed it was not a suage pizza so I reached out to the store to let them know there was a mistake with my order so the rep placed me on hold and next thing I know I was speaking with another rep not knowing she was the general manager so as I begin to explain to her she asked me how did I place my order and I said with Uber eats and my concerns was trying to see if the erra was on my part or the store as far as charging me for a cheese pizza and not a suage chees pizza. So the general manager said in a not so friendly voice tone "You otder build your own pizza and itbwas cheese only" so I said how I not sure how that happened when i was under the impression i was being charged gor a siage pizza as i tried to explain and see what could be done or how did i make that mistake in a nice voice tone, Immediately the general manager sounded irritated and angry with my concern. I was trying to just get some clarity and ommediatey she says if you have a problem its with Uber and you need to call Uber and im like how when my issue is with my food and im just calling out of concern so i can know not to make that mistake again. The reason im upset and writing this review is because with all due respect the manager didnot handle me with care or concern and she did not address it in a perfessional manner she HUNG UP THE PHONE IN MY FACE NOW IM REALLY UPSET SO I CALLED BACK AND I LET HER KNOW HOPEFULLY ALL CALLS A RECORDED FOR QUALITY PURPOSES AND I ASKED TO SPEAK TO HIGHER MANAGER THAN HER AND SHE SAYS IM THE HIGHEST MANAGER AND INSAID MAAM YOU HAVE A REGIONAL AND A COORPORATE MANAGER / NUMBER I CAN CALL TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOU BECAUSE YOU SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME THE CUSTOMER SO SHE GAVE ME HER BOSS NUMBER . IM NEW TO THE AREA AND I JUST RECENTLY MOVED OUT HER FOR BETTER COMMUNITY AND ATMOSPHERE AND THIS IS HOW YOU TTRAT OR ADDRESS A CUSTOMERS CONCERNS? I LOVE GIORDIANOS PIZZA AND THIS LOCATION BUT I DONT THINK I WILL BE COMING BACK TO EAT THERE AGAIN OR PLACE AN ORDER DUE TO THE WAY THE GENERAL MANAGER ADDRESSED MY CONCERNS! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AS A...
