Fatty Daddy's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Scottsdale

The texture was good, but the taste was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! We tried four different flavors and all of them had a horrible metallic taste to them throughout every single bite. Ended up throwing them out- such a waste of money. Unless you enjoy the taste of licking a metal pan, I highly recommend saving your money and heading to an ice cream shop where they have food handling standards & customer service skills. The owner of the place is who served us; she handled the money with her bare hands & then scooped our ice cream without washing her hands or putting on gloves. MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATION! If that's how the owner is handling the food she serves then I have zero confidence that she trained her staff to have proper food handling skills. Nothing worse than leaving a place feeling ripped off (and wondering what else those dirty hands touched before handling your food). Another review stated that the customer found pieces of plastic in their ice cream- definitely wish I had read the reviews before subjecting myself & my children...

We drove here from east Mesa to meet some friends for dessert. The outside of the building is very unassuming, but the desserts inside were great! We sampled several flavors, nothing was amazing, but most were pretty good - standard ice cream. I got fruity pebbles ice cream with a fruity pebbles macaron to match, and the roasted marshmallow on top. WOW, those mallows are good! They are perfectly caramelized and gooey! Our friends all got different combos and enjoyed them.

My only complaint is the coffee ice cream was NOT good...coffee ice cream is my favorite, if it's done right. It tasted like "end of the pot" coffee. Stale and a little burned, if you know what I mean. It almost tasted like they put used coffee grounds into their ice cream...used coffee grounds are not the same as fresh grounds. So I would avoid that flavor.

Bad experience all around tonight as I simply wanted to try a new ice cream (EPIC FAIL HERE) first off i walked into this location having to yell out hello to let someone know I was at the front. Finally and attendant came to Help me from the back cell phone in hand. 🤔 i order a double very small scoops and tiniest cup you can think of. I asked for a few peanuts and a couple almonds (upcharge UPCHARGE and U.P.CH.A.R.G.E. ~Be Aware there were maybe 5 peanuts and a couple almonds flakes literally.) not a big deal until I Unknowingly found out those few almonds couple 5 peanuts and a tiny waffle took my tiny cup of ice cream that is priced at nine dollars. Yes, I said that right nine dollars.!!!! Went from nine dollars to $14.50. Are you kidding me for a tiny cup of ice cream very tiny waffle cone five peanuts in a few flakes of almond. Cmon ! I will never be back for the...
