Subway — Restaurant in Scottsdale

I placed an online pickup order. I left for the store when they were "building," and it was close to the time quoted for pickup. However, when I arrived at the pickup time, there was one guy making sandwiches for customers that had walked in. I could hear at least 2 employees just chatting in the back. When someone finally came out and acknowledged me, I was told they were "just finishing up" my sandwiches. They were sitting to the side, she finished one sandwich, then the guy started on my other sandwich. I had to ask him to put the meatballs on the whole sub, as he had only crammed them to one side, leaving half of my 6-inch sub just bread. Although he had my order right in front of him, I had to tell him how I wanted it. I ended up having to wait a total of 10 minutes past the pickup time to get my sandwiches because they stopped making my sandwiches midway. The food was actually good, which is the only reason I gave 2 stars...

Subway has and is a go to for me, my friends and family and I'd give this Subway a 5 for 5 if it weren't for just one thing...the heat. I know it's hot walking into mommas kitchen but that day it seemed like the AC was broken or something cause that place was warm.

Aside from that I had great service from the guy behind the counter (he said his name is lucky, not sure if that's his given name or a nickname but,) he was engaging, attentive and professional.

The food was as expected, delicious. I'll be back since this subway is literally the closest to my house but hopefully next visit it'll be a little bit...

So I came in at 7 minutes before close for 1 sandwich. They said they were already closed.

I looked at the clock it was clearly not 8pm yet and most of the prep station was already cleaned up.

They decided not to serve even though they weren't closed yet. They had already been cleaning up before I arrived.

It was Friday night after all.

The lights were out by 8:02pm.
